Sometimes it’s frustrating when you really want to turn the TV on and watch something quick. Like a big play in a game or something… it can take a minute to get to YTtv and for it to load up. As opposed to just turning the TV on and viola.
That’s it. That’s my only con.
Had YT for 5 years and will never go back to sattelite.

Best part about YouTube TV is that there is no installation, commissioning, disconnection fees. I just sign up during football season and turn it off after the Superbowl.

The biggest con I have is more with Samsung I suppose, but if you download the YT app from the Samsung store, it's hot garbage with freezing, and skipping a shite ton on live sporting events.
I have to use the YT app on my Ps5, or one downloaded on a streaming stick.

i signed up to youtube tv when disney pulled espn channels from spectrum.
first, i couldn't sign to the app without giving google permission to take over my browser. after many failed attempts at signing in without giving permission, i finally gave permission, boom worked like a charm.
second, after a week and a half or two weeks. i was doing my normal surfing and noticed something different. sure enough google had taken over my browser. i immediately went and ended my trial and let them know i did not appreciate it.
third, shortly thereafter i swapped out modems and google hasnt let me sign back into my youtube channel since. went thru all their steps, got to the phone verification and i never get the text with the code.
kicked to the curb by google

None of that makes any sense at all. When you sign into YTTV with your Google account, all you're doing is let it use your credentials. If you use a Gmail or other google account to access any service that has a "sign in with google" option you'll get the same prompt - including other streaming services like Sling. It doesn't ask you about taking over your browser.
I'd love to hear why you think Google "took over your browser." Chrome is Google's browser, so they already had control. Edge, Brave, Safari, etc can use Google for the default search engine and install apps and/or plug ins but none of that is done by the authentication api.

Can you use the normal Google play store or does Samsung lock that out like Amazon does on their Fire tablets?
If so, get it from the Play store. Those smaller repositories are always behind on updates and generally suck.

If the Braves are important to you, it's a good option to consider. On the negative, it costs $84 a month for the package that includes Bally and $95 a month for the package that includes Bally and CBS Sports Network, which carries A LOT of basketball and football games. YTTV costs $73 a month. YTTV doesn't offer Bally at all for now, but the channel is in bankruptcy. They're going to come back very soon (YTTV used to carry it) because they need every dollar they can get. DirectTV also limits how long you can retain a recorded program to 9 months (and the number of episodes you can record) so if want to save and relive a game or show, you're more restricted than YTTV.
TL;DNR - Direct is good, but it costs more for the same content and YTTV is probably getting the Braves back before next season.
