No problem, RTR.

There is no f way 4 can see 5 receivers down the field with his IQ
We needed to keep the Hback in blocking every pass play and 45 isn't worth a damn at blocking.
You have to give 4 time and hope for the best. 5 receivers is stupid with our OL.

Reading some of DeBoer’s postgame comments and if I’m Ty Simpson, I hit the portal tomorrow. It’s clear he has zero confidence in him.

And I hate that because I really would like to see what he could do as “The Man” but it’s growing more obvious it probably isn’t going to happen.

Simpson probably won’t transfer but it’s got to be extremely frustrating for Simpson to see Milroe not just gift other team points, but pull classless stunts like the tripping attempt against OU, see WRs visibly frustrated, and then hear DeBoer say he never considered making any kind of change.

Or he talked to Ty before the game and told him Jalen was playing his last game in a Bama uniform and they were going to let him finish what he started good or bad. It's a possibility.

“Hey Ty, I know we probably need to get someone live reps for next year and we need to win this game for a variety of reasons, but we’re going to let a player do whatever he wants and play as poorly as he wants because we need to be nice to him.”

I know I’m some random internet poster and you have no reason to believe me, but I can tell you with 100% certainty there is nothing in Milroe’s NIL contract that obligates the coaches to start him. I got that tonight from as reliable source as it gets with those things.
Kind of wish there was because that would make sense of this situation.

My personal opinion on this issue. I think CKD came in and saw what Milroe did last year and thought he could improve on it. He let him run a watered down version of his offense which is why there were open receivers. The issue is that Milroe couldn’t process it quickly enough. I think he just rode Milroe through the end of the season because of the potential upside. He is too much of a nice guy to pull Milroe after his last season. Kind of live by the sword die by the sword. Not totally unusual for a coach to stick with an underperforming QB. Saban did it with Hurts. Smart did it with Daniels. Dabo did it with Bryant. It happens. Let’s hope CKD makes the decision to move on from Milroe and we get to actually see his offense. If he bombs, then we can start searching.

He tried to tell you if you read between the lines with his bullshite excuses on why Milroe is still starting and never pulled from the game, but I guess people here are looking for someone to spell it out for them.
Well, spell it out for us!

Deboer was powerless.

I think you’re closer to the truth than anyone else. DeBoer didn’t watch a single game of our our’s last year obviously before he took the job. He had just heard about the “turnaround” Milroe had, the big plays, and figured he had talent like most people did who don’t follow the situation closely. Then he gets to Tuscaloosa and sees the UA AD apparatus treat Milroe like he’s Bryce or Jalen Hurts. To DeBoer, Milroe is the face of the program that Nick Saban left him. It made it really tough for DeBoer to go in any other direction. Ty Simpson could be a completely serviceable QB, but that isn’t enough to vault him past the Milroe brand.
Still though, DeBoer should’ve benched him the moment Milroe tried to trip the OU defender. The players have enough leverage as it is, but you have to draw the line in the sand somewhere.

There’s no clause. That’s a fact.
Milroe did in fact demand more money from us to play in the bowl game. Fortunately I don’t think we agreed and called his bluff.

Total fiction. This is so ridiculous and makes no sense whatsoever.
You think players who dream about making it to the NFL are going to risk that because they want a particular qb to play. No.
