We have to be prepared for a bumpy ride, especially depending on if he's able to hold this class/transfer portal thing down reasonably.

I'm not worried about this coaching. Will he be able to recruit?

That’s not debatable. Gotta have Jimmys and Joes though. The rest of the staff will be important while he gets his feet wet in the South.

Yep. My only concern is recruiting. If he can recruit in the Top 10 consistently I think we will have ourselves a good coach for the long haul.

I think having Saban stick around in whatever capacity he will be in is huge. He's not going to let Deboer just fumble around SEC recruiting trying to figure it out-he is going to show him the way. And Saban isn't dumb, he's not going to be commandeering. He knows how much space he'll need to give Deboer.
