I know it's like the others. Like I said I know the connection is there. Just don't know about the credibility of the info. But he said they had it handled.

quote:
Mal
I remember watching the postgame on field celebration after the ND game many times last summer and noted how proud Mal was on the stage. I also think of how Saban looked when he spoke of Mal as he received the crystal. The body language and facial expressions of both men were quite subtle, but there was obvious warmth and respect between them. I thought about this when Mal died in the spring...and wondered if that relationship could be carried forward when BB was hired.
I hope like hell that BB isn't so concerned about the cost of keeping Saban to the point that he forgets that common sense often trumps business acumen.
Sorry for getting sappy there...

I'd like to know how the posters on this board break down. I would think most like myself have been fully confident he stayin' the whole time.

At the risk of being called a Barner again, it wouldn't surprise me if he left, but maybe that's the lingering bad taste of the IB.
Seems like tidefans is starting to turn on him though, heh.

75-25 he stays is how I've been. I think he would be a fool to ignore a monster offer from any football organization on the planet.
If anybody gives him an offer that strikes a chord with him, be it financially, emotionally, or otherwise, I would expect the man will do what is in his best interest, with consideration give to the university. FYI, I do believe his legacy factors into this, both in terms of how people view him as a gun for hire and as wanting to notch his name as the best to ever coach CFB. It isn't just a monetary decision IMO. No, I do not know the man, and I'm just stating what I feel from what has been written in his book and media, and the personality he projects.
Should he leave, if he needs the help(of course he doesn't), I will fly back south and help him pack and shake his hand and thank him for the most incredible ride a fan could ever hope for.

Probably just letting media make fools of themselves at this point.
Hell most of the media I have seen on twitter feel the same way most of us to. This is all Jimmy Sexton working to get more money out of Bama and that he has no intention of leaving.
I wouldn't be surprised if this thing is done before Friday and Saban is Orlando at the CFB awards show then in NYC for the Heisman ceremony.

I have to give most of the AU fans on this board sincere props because y'all have been rational and level headed and not jumped into the Clown Rodeo like a bunch of desperate lemmings like the LSU morons.
Again, the fact that AU and UT fans - our true rivals - have not made fools of themselves over this situation prove to me that no matter how much the LSUtards protest, this is still lingering bitterness over their "rejection" by Saban.
I have to wonder how Les Miles really feels about all this. I would laugh my arse off if HE gets the call from Texas and they end up looking for a new coach. Miles is a goofy bastard but he is the only SEC coach that has been able to compete fairly consistently with Saban and Alabama.
And that's not a slight against Malzahn, he just hasn't been the HC long enough.

I am confident he is staying. Even our enemies in the media like Brando think he is staying.

100% confident.
I will say, I want to be reincarnated as Jimmy Sexton. That dude is the fricking master.

+1
Jimmy Sexton is a member out at my dad's golf course and we see him all the time. I am gonna have to give him a stern talking to about scaring all of us.

Oh, I'm going to be "that girl".
I love being snotty and bitchy.
Plus those frickers called me fat. Enough of y'all have seen my picture to know I'm not fat. I used to be over weight after I had my second child and had some serious medical complications. But I worked my arse off to lose that weight; hell, I weigh less now than I did in college.
Call me old or a bitch or a gumpette, I don't give a frick.
But call me fat?? It's on like Donkey Kong.

If some of our own fans are getting nervous, at this point I don't blame rival fans for getting excited and messing with us about it. Saban to Texas used to be a joke. Now it's a play for a pay raise. It still ain't happening, but it is different.
