Woolly and CrimsonRedSports were born after Tidesprotz died from their posters.
CRS never really gained traction, but Wooly (misspelled name and all) 1.0 took off rather well and was a fun site. Best cruitin board Bama boards have ever had IMO.
to Surge Hannibal (url owner) and Blacklab (server) had beef over something or another, which ended with Blacklab removing Hannibal and Bamachine from the Admin (of Hannibal's own site) and replacing them with Ahm (who had long been permabanned). Hannibal responded by taking down the site. Unsure how AHM came back into or truly fit into the picture. But a successful coup from Troll Hell nonetheless. At least that is how I remember it.
Most migrated here and/or RollTideBama. Woolly tried a couple of times to restart but sputtered out and became best known for its member's only porn posting page.

My favorite was the debate thread with the gator fans leading up to the SECCG. FTBLFN trolled everyone by only posting memes in his debate

Oh yes! That was awesome. Wasn’t it a guy named OxGator or something that cake there and posted massive posts showing statistically why Florida would win?

I started off in an old ESPN chat room way back in the early 90s. Went by the name Crimson Legend. When I migrated over to here a few years later, I found out somebody had taken my name from there and used it here!

Yes, his name was Oxrageous I think. He had broken everything down by the numbers and gave this deep analysis of why Florida would win, and then FTBLFN would just reply with a meme.

Blacklab owned a web hosting company in Austin and owned ShaggyBevo. Somehow AHM talked him into giving him all the admin. rights with the idea that AHM could get the site traffic up.

Just create your own thread "The Boz Corner" and pin the thread up there. Lock the thread. That way only you can provide updates there. It would be easier to not always have to create new thread everytime you hear something.

That's half true
At the beginning of the summer for three straight years, I'd start messaging him on ShaggyBevo trying to convince him to let me take over WoollyAl. I did sell him on building the site and doing more than those in control. He told me no for a few years.
I was as surprised as you guys when he finally did give me access to Mod powers on the board. Hannibal panicked and took the site down and WoollyAl pretty much died.
