How can you say that? He been trying to not rock the boat and wait the cancer out. Losing to UTk is pushing this canoe to the tipping point. Where he goes from here will determine if he’s made of the stuff it takes.

Booker is the one doing weekly interviews.

Gotcha, thanks. I figured Booker and Lawson would also be captains

Nick Saban had to do the same shite in the early days but Kalen DeBoer doesn’t seem to have the disposition or limitations on player movement to smoke out the intransigent, reform the able, and bring in the new without having to worry about losing the middle group in the process.

I’m team DeBoer all the way. Bama and NIL are different beasts. I’m going to be optimistic that he will right the ship. He has the top class and will continue to get his talent in.

Yall keep in mind…Saban had to deal with some cancers (DJ Hall), shite canned a lot, replaced talent with Freshmen (Hightower, Ingram, Julio), and hired a bad OC (Major Applewhite).

Me too. No one, not even Nick Saban can fix this overnight. You have to give him time.

Oats ain’t soft. Coaches them guys hard and puts em through OOC gauntlets because steel sharpens steel. He’s probably the major men’s team coach on campus that I’d want coaching my kids right now.

Yeah lets say even half of all this is true. There isnt a coach in America that could come in and handle it perfectly because there is no perfect solution. DeBoer thought he was getting a disciplined Saban machine. I think he realizes now that what he got was far from that.

The LANK shite is just wild to me. You have a guy that was the unquestioned starter, with his own Bama approved brand(good luck trying that if you are just a random Joe engineering student). Of course there would be massive issues benching a guy like that or even trying to coach someone like that.

I actually think Saban and the University did a huge disservice to Milroe and the team by allowing this. The dude isnt just a football player on a team, hes got a damn brand to live up to

People keep expecting someone like Bryant or Stallings or prime Saban or whatever DI-style high school coach they played for to come in large and in charge and stomp asses but they don’t understand that world is gone and the ramifications of burning it all down are going to be a whole lot different than just “getting rid of the riffraff.”

Doesn’t mean it might not need to be done.

Didn’t DJ Hall get his arse whipped in the locker room during halftime of the MSU game or ULM? Probably about time for a veteran who has bought in to throw down the gauntlet on a bad actor the next time they show their arse.

Saban should have handled this last year after the USF debacle.

UASport,

I was sitting with someone who played football on college level this past weekend, and He said that no way someone with his talent can be that bad, missing wide open guys all afternoon long. He said it could be only two things:

1. He's truly injured.
2. Something happened behind the scene between him and the players in locker room and it carried over to the field.

Youre right it wasnt BS. It was a cancer and a period of insanity. Everyone that spearheaded that movement was a massive, evil POS

I'm going to say this. Be careful of what you ask for: Ty Simpson may not be the answer. but I don't even know how we got to this regarding Ty simpson in this thread.
