Is he done or does he have a COVID extra year? If he still has a year move him to guard

He would have the COVID year, I believe.

I think we just say, "thanks for your service" at this point and hope we can address that position elsewhere. We've signed three interior linemen in this class, Brockemeyer is still here, or maybe we can pluck the portal for a guy.

Moving him to guard is pointless because he isn't going to play over Booker or Roberts.

It's a puzzling situation this year because I don't recall snaps being as big a problem in the past. I do recall Bryce having some issues as well, but nothing to the way it's been this year. It's like he turned into Chuck Knoblauch or Steve Sax. Got the yips.

That has to be over and done with.

It’d be malpractice to continue with him as our starter. Great guy and I hate it for him but you just can’t have that type of stuff happening at this level or football.

I just want to truly know wtf was the issue. Why did it keep happening? You have to be able to adjust your snap if it keeps being short….

Well, Kool-Aid was a freaking beast last year on punt returns but got the yips this year and was replaced.

The mere fact that bad snaps has been an issue all year and Seth wasn’t benched tells us a lot.

Was he the 2nd baseman that couldn't throw the ball to 1st base?

1 or 2 things it tells us.
One, we didn't have a replacement or 2, coaches aren't competent enough to see the issue.

Or 3, it’s hard to replace a center in the middle of the season.

Knoblach - Mn Twins and those throws made it on sports center.

Similar thing with Rick Ankiel of the Cards but he moved to CF

James Brockermeyer has been on Bama team since 2021 (redshirt sophomore). He was a 4 star and ranked #1 center in the nation by ESPN. In 2019, he was Texas all-state at Center. Have we no one else or are the coaches just playing the senior over developing the younger guys.

Doesn't mean shite, with all due respect. His brother was a 5-star and hasn't sniffed the field at two different schools.
