Just watched it. We had players inside the 20 yard line by the time he was bringing it out of the end zone. They weren't just standing around.

I think the point he is making is kicking a 57 yard field goal wasn't the best idea.

And I agree with that. But don't act like you shits had the gift of foresight and knew we were screwed just as soon as he caught the ball in the end zone. You're simply lying to us and to yourselves.

I highly doubt anyone anticipated what occurred.

Well, I did. Believe it or not. I knew that a bunch of hog mollies didnt have a great chance at tackling a fast DB on that play.

I'm not sure why you think that its impossible for us to have thought that...

No one did. I wasn't even thinking about the possibility of a return until he brought it out.

I don't believe you knew as soon as he caught it that the game was over. No.

And there weren't just fat asses on the field.

I'm just not sure why you guys think that it would be crazy for us to anticipate this. It has happened before, plenty of times. Maybe not on the last play of the game, but to say that it is something that NO ONE thought about it is naive.

I am not claiming that I knew for a fact that he was going to take it all the way back. I never said that. But I definitely didnt feel good about it when I saw him catch it.

There was a kicker, and punter, and Vogler...then a bunch of big boys.

Don't be a dumbass. If you're gonna respond, at least take the time to rub a couple of brain cells together first so you don't look like a fool. We had two...count 'em...TWO tacklers on that unit. Stinson and Hubbard. The rest: Vogler, both Kouandijos, Steen, Shepherd, Mazza, Greene, and TWO kickers. Compare that with our punt coverage team...Mosely, Collins, Patrick, White, Lee, Jackson, Depriest, Williams. Then go back and look at the clip again. Look at the unit Auburn had out there...a kick return team. Auburn barely makes a token effort to go after the kick. Hey genius...who the frick did you think was gonna make that tackle? Talk about being a liar...go ahead. Who was gonna make that tackle.

Jesus effing Christ, you don't have to be Vince Lombardi to know that there are TWO catastrophic results that could happen on that play. And you can't scheme to stop both. So we had our regular FG team to prevent the kick from being blocked.

As soon as I saw him back there I got nervous

I got nervous when I saw him back there and saban said after the game on the radio he told the players to be ready for it and to expect the run back. He also agreed that they had illegal men down field on the shuffle pass that tied the game and said the NCAA really needs to do something because it's almost impossible to defend those kinds of plays especially when they have lineman down field blocking.
