Agreed. I've always disliked them. Johnny Manziel is my most disliked opposing player in recent memory.

I don't believe telling what you believe is the truth is going after people, he basically said the same thing he been saying for months. He just put names to it

Coach shouldn't have apologized and Jimbo is an unhinged dinosaur. Took every single thing to go right for him to finally beat Saban last year and it was still a three point game. Lock the frickin doors in Bryant Denny come October 8th. My nephew that I pretty much raised was a GA for Jimbo at Florida State for 2 years. I know how that goon runs a program.

Saban should've asked if Jimbo wanted to meet up with Bofa later on

Wrong! Nick Saban can recruit at a top level with NIL. The issue is that Nick Saban can kind a see where this is headed and it's not good for college football. Lane Kiffin mentioned it as well as some more coaches but Nick Saban has been preaching this from the jump that there will be certain advantages some schools have in it's not fair.

If they think Alabama couldn't do the same thing folks really out here drinking & smoking good dope too much.

What he did was use some examples of what he's been talking about all along like...Jackson State & Texas A&M! Personally speaking he could of used USC lol...

Nick Saban didn't lie though but everybody seems upset because NICK SABAN said it that's all.

College football has gotten kind of boring so I’m glad he said it. Wish he hadn’t apologized.

It’s hilarious Jimbo took such offense to it. In a way, it was kind of a compliment to him for finding a way to exploit the NIL system. Saban’s been critical of it from the jump.

Yes. And Kiffin has been taunting Jimbo about this for months. In February Kiffin said A&M was "going to have to pay a luxury tax on how much they paid for their recruiting class." Saban is not at all out on a limb in his disdain for Jimbo. Other coaches are just afraid to say anything. SEC meetings this summer should be all sorts of fun.

It's just a lot of people who are jealous of Saban because he wins big that are acting like Saban is out of line. From what I understand that speech wasn't supposed to get out to the media. Kiffin has called out A&M publicly months ago and the same people ignored it.

“I don’t know why (Fisher) is mad at Saban,” Spurrier told DawgNation. “Did Saban say something that wasn’t true?”

The former Florida Heisman Trophy winner had a way with words in the 1990s with then-Tennessee coach Phillip Fulmer and then-Alabama coach Mike DuBose.

“I don’t think Saban told any lies in there, so I don’t know what he was mad about,” Spurrier added. “Since (Fisher) beat him last year, I guess he can talk now. He hasn’t beat much of anybody, but he beat Saban last year. But they haven’t won the division or anything since he’s been there.”

It literally told you all you needed to know about them.

Texas A&M Five Stars thru the years before NIL...

2018-0
2019-2
2020-2
2021-1

NIL INTRODUCED

2022-7 Five stars the highest rated class of all time.

Makes perfect logic- after losing to Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Arkansas, and LSU finishing 4-4 in the SEC it was clear to the nation's elite recruits that THIS was a program on the rise."

This freaking tweet kills it lol...

Nick Saban is speaking FACTS!

My actual, real life thoughts on the situation:

#1 If you actually watch the video it doesn’t come off nearly as incendiary as it does when you read it on paper, and based on that I don’t think Saban really thought he was saying anything that crazy other than trying to get donars motivated.

#2 There’s clearly unresolved issues between the two of them going back decades, Saban could have easily mentioned Georgia in there as well but chose not to. Jimbo was borderline unhinged for a person of his stature.

#3 Some are saying Saban is “warning” people. I don’t think that’s true, there’s clearly some angst there from a guy who is 70 years old and is seeing college football change at an unbelievably rapid pace in the last 24-36 months, which can only be disorienting for him at a basic level.

It would be naive to say he’s not concerned at all about his spot, but I also do really believe that he cares about college football as a whole. Both of those things can simultaneously be true.

#4 In the next few years I think NIL will level out a bit, but it will give some programs opportunities to improve they didn’t have before, of which A&M will be one. But in terms of winning championships it will still be about development and culture as much as it will the Jimmy’s and the Joe’s.

I understand what your trying too say but I guarantee you that this is a warning from Nick Saban. He's preached this sermon from the jump same goes for the following things Saban warned people about...

The Playoffs
Hurry Up Offense
Transfer Portal

Guess who's running majority of these three aspects...Nick Saban

Don't think it won't happen with NIL either.

Yeah nick might not have been self aware enough to know that what he said wasnt private but hes been consistent on the NiL topic. Joka is right, its always a warning... Mike golic jr has alluded to that when "nick talks u better pay heed".

I could see the NIL stuff kind of solving itself organically. The programs who have exploited it the most so far are Texas, Aggy, and Miami. Miami basketball players are already publicly demanding more money from sugar daddy Ruiz, Texas has been a poster child of dysfunction, booster meddling, and underachievement for decades, and Jimbo has an established history of nurturing toxicity in the locker room on top of Aggy football arguably being the biggest historic underachiever in all of college athletics. Between the potential of a fractured locker room, boosters taking over the program, and a couple of seasons ending in disappointment you've got a powder keg just waiting for a match.
