What will his role be?

Does Saban become the director of the NIL/"Yea Alabama" collective for Bama and throw some of his own insane personal wealth around to ensure what he built continues to last?

My opinion is he won’t be there long , just to help the early transition . Imagine he will be in Jupiter, FL

I don't think he cares for NIL enough to run it lol. Going around asking for money doesn't sound like a fun retirement.

I could see him as Analyst Emeritus... available to give advice. Not sure what the rules are, but could we swing recruits on official visits by his BDS office? Almost like our unofficial recruiting coordinator. He wouldn't go out on recruiting trips or anything, but I'd bet he'd still love to participate in Bama's summer camps and give some thoughts on recruits. Most of his time will be at that Florida house (wonder if he'll keep the lake house)...but hopefully he keeps a visible presence on campus during the fall.

I read somewhere that the university owns the lake house. Is that correct?

I hadn't heard. Anyone know?

If he owns it I'm not sure why he'd keep it with that $17 million FL home. But if the university owns it, I guess it's for a HC retreat relatively close by.

I’m pretty sure the University does NOT own the lake house.

As for his “role”, my guess is he’ll stick around for 2-3 months to give CKD the lay of the land, who’s who at UA, the BOT, boosters, etc. I’m certain they will have very long conversations about what to expect, how insane our fans are, the importance of beating Auburn and Tennessee, his ideas on the players, etc.

Ultimately, I’m certain CNS will let him form his own opinions on everything. IMO, these chats will be invaluable in getting CKD up to speed.
