I don't think Milroe has the freedom to adjust the call like Young did. On that play where Milroe got blindside sack, He knew that guy was coming in hot, because he was looking at him directly right before the snap. Not much he can do about it.

A large part of it is pass protection up front combined with Milroe low QB Iq and the fact he goes down too easily for his size and athleticism

i did watch the game.

sack #1 - On Milroe. Should have thrown it away.
Sack #2 - 5 man pressure. Right side turned rusher loose.
Sack #3 - 4 man pressure. Jase whiffs on block. Not sure why Jase is in 1-on-1 when they only brought 4.
Sack #4- 5 man pressure. Milroe doesn't bail. Had 6 man protection but 52 whiffed on his.
Sack #5 - 5 man pressure. 74 lets safety come untouched off the edge for a blindside sack.
Sack #6- 6 man pressure. Had 6 in protection but 65 and 77 block the same man, turn corner loose. Couldn't see routes. If you want to put it on Milroe you could but it was also failed execution.

Disagreed. 60 percent of blame should go to OL. 30 percent should go to Milroe 10 percent should go to RBs and TE.

So you disagree that it's mostly the OL but then assign 60% responsibility to the OL?

He has complete freedoms to adjust protection. That’s literally his job as a QB. He actually didn’t see the rusher because he walked up late

Then you clearly have issues comprehending the sport of football.

quote:

sack #1 - On Milroe. Should have thrown it away.

Should have stayed in the pocket. Not on the OL.

quote:

Sack #2 - 5 man pressure. Right side turned rusher loose.

The right side had 3 rushing against two. How is that their fault? This is on Milroe and Jase for not communicating. Milroe either should have rolled left since Jase took the spy or Jase should have taken the middle rusher. Not on the OL.

quote:

Sack #3 - 4 man pressure. Jase whiffs on block. Not sure why Jase is in 1-on-1 when they only brought 4.

On Jase, Milroe could have stepped up in the pocket. Not on the OL.

Sack #4- 5 man pressure. Milroe doesn't bail. Had 6 man protection but 52 whiffed on his.

5 man pressure + a spy. This is on the OL but you can’t expect them to block that. Milroe and Rees have to do a better job with play calling here. You can’t run zero intermediate routes with a 6 man rush. On the OL.

Sack #5 - 5 man pressure. 74 lets safety come untouched off the edge for a blindside sack.

That wasn’t his guy. Like I said, you don’t know football. That was completely on Milroe for not seeing the DB walk up to the line. Should have changed the protections. Left side had 3 rushing against 2, simply not possible to block. Not on the OL.

Sack #6- 6 man pressure. Had 6 in protection but 65 and 77 block the same man, turn corner loose. Couldn't see routes. If you want to put it on Milroe you could but it was also failed execution.

This is mostly on a right side OL miscommunication and Milroe not stepping up in the pocket (would have been an easy 1st to Burton). I’ll give this to the OL.

So overall, at worst only 2 of the sacks were the OL’s fault. But sure, they “gave up a bunch of sacks” and it’s “mostly on them”.
