I still think tua needs to rest that knee for a couple of weeks. He just didn't look right even before the slide.

This would seem like the prudent thing to do, but if his injury is meniscus related then all the rest in the world will not make it better as meniscus tissue does not repair itself due to inadequate blood flow to the tissues. If you are of the mind set that he should not play so as to prevent further injury then that is a different story. Someone stated that Saban had already said Tua will play against Tennessee. Even though he may play, I'll bet he doesn't start and I'll also bet that any playing time will be limited.

Why play him if he doesn't start?

If you play him, let him play a few series and get a big lead, then send him to the bench while Hurts closes out the win.

A ball player with at least a sprained knee, and probably not needed to beat UT.

I would note that he was a ball player last year, too, and a very good one, but most Alabama fans didn't seem to have a problem with him sitting on the bench most of the time.

Everything Nick Saban said to kick off Tennessee week (BamaOnLine)
quote:

"I’m not making any accusations because I don’t think it’s anybody here. But we have an outstanding medical staff here. We do MRIs on players. We know exactly what’s wrong with them. Never, ever has our medical staff put a player at any kind of risk relative to playing. I don’t think it’s good for people to make speculation about what injury a player has when we have probably as good a medical staff as anybody in the country when it comes to Dr. Cain, Dr. Andrews and their whole team of people. I don’t think it’s fair to the player or the program or our medical staff for people to speculate on what people’s injuries really are." (read more)

Then why not divulge this information to the public and end the speculation? I can't think of a logical reason to withhold it.
