Real possibility Bama is unranked at the end of the year.

Looks like 4+ losses. Hard to believe it is only going to take 1 year removed from Saban to get to this.

I think we are going to see more top teams lose. Now that there’s more room for margin of error and player culture is shifting due to NIL, you’re going to see less cohesive, old school team mentality. More personal motivation and jumping ship and not buying in, and also more complacency because now it’s not about being a top 4 team to secure your playoff bid. The stakes are lower.

I was ok with losing a game, maybe even two but we've looked horrible. Gonna take some getting use to.

Oh yeah, no denying it absolutely sucks. The funny thing is this is how more CFB fans experience football. We are NOT accustomed to losing more than 1 regular season games. It’s such a rarity. So it feels like the end of the world to us being…average.

I lived through the Mikes and worse. 6-6 don't scare me one bit.

I'm an alum but I may find some new Fall hobbies. It is easier to support them through thick and thin when you feel like they are committed to your school instead of committed to the paycheck. I know there were always bagmen but now that it is out in the open it feels more transactional than it seemed before.

I feel ya, I’m an alum (and currently in grad school at UA). At least we have basketball, though.
But, in all seriousness…we will see how the CFB season shakes out. Right now it feels absolutely friggin awful in our position. However, a few weeks ago we were on top of the world after the UGA win. Moral of the story being, the tables can turn on other teams and maybe there’s a chance after the BYE week we come back refreshed and get wins we need. It doesn’t look good for us currently, but again…this time next month we might be somehow still in it and feeling better about things…you never know.

I suspect we could easily take an L against Missouri and almost certainty against LSU. Who knows how OU and the barn play out. At this point I’m not even sure Mercer is a guaranteed win, because who knows how these clowns will respond after this loss.

At this point I’m just hoping we can beat the barn. I

The Bama Mystique is definitely gone. We're just another team now.
It definitely didn't take long. From the high of the first half vs Georgia until now...it's been a pretty incredible fall from grace.

80% of the students on campus are from New Jersey. Neither the University or The State of Alabama means anything to them. The same can be said for the team. The team isn’t playing for school or state pride either, they’re playing for themselves.

Like The Snake said in an interview: “ In my day we played for the name on the front of the jersey, not the name on the back” Until that mentality comes back we’ll continue to see a decline in college football.
