Capital building has been evacuated.
It was already closed today. There's nobody but security and possibly a maintenance guy or two there.
If they show up and try to start stuff on the upscale east side residential neighborhoods, many of them will likely not live to see the morning.

I think he has some sort of plan or he wouldn't have suggested it. If he fails on that, the group decided to return tomorrow at 12. Doubt that'll happen but they might try again. We'll see.

George Floyd had fentanyl in his system when he was killed, and died from a heart attack ... according to the medical examiner.
The Hennepin County Medical Examiner released its toxicology findings and say George died from cardiopulmonary arrest ... which complicated law enforcement's subdual, restraint and neck compression of him. That is critical, but the report also says this under "how the injury occurred" -- it says George experienced "a cardiopulmonary arrest while being restrained by law enforcement."
In other words ... he suffered a heart attack while they were arresting him, and that complicated their efforts to subdue him.
The report says George had fentanyl in his system, and they also found signs of recent methamphetamine use. It also says his manner of death is homicide.
The results were released just hours after the Floyd family's independent autopsy showed he died from "mechanical asphyxia" ... due to Derek Chauvin's knee on his neck, and another officer on his back.

The chief of the Richmond, Virginia, police department told reporters Sunday that Black Lives Matter and antifa rioters set fire to a multi-family home with a child inside while blocking access for firefighters to get through to save the child.
Richmond Police Chief William Smith broke down while speaking about the horrible burning deaths of a children after their occupied building was torched by rioters.
The chief of the Richmond, Virginia, police department said Sunday that rioters set fire to a multi-family home with a child inside while blocking access for firefighters to get through to save the child.
Richmond Police Chief William Smith: “One incident that is particularly poignant, that truly illustrates the seriousness of the issues we’re facing. Last night protesters intentionally set fire to an occupied building on [West] Broad Street. This is not the only occupied building that has been set fire to in the last two days. But they prohibited us from getting on the scene. We had to force our way to make a clear path for the fire department. The protesters intercepted the fire apparatus several blocks away with vehicles and blocked that fire department’s access to the structure fire. Inside that home was a child.”
They finally rescued the child

The amount of worry and fear they this is causing is kind of making my blood boil a little bit.
We finally open things up, and these already vulnerable businesses are now being intimidated by the threat of these punk motherfrickers destroying their livelihoods for good.

There's been rumors of these "busses of looters" for days and they haven't shown up. Chicago Police Scanner was going wild with it the other day but it was just hackers fricking with police.

His only option now would be to try something in federal court regarding the state law. Otherwise, the courts have ruled.

I hope that's true in Montgomery's case. Eastchase is a nice area that has absolutely no reason to be attacked tonight.

Spot on.
There are probably a few out of town agitators involved but if you had buses of people coming into cities left and right there'd be video and/or LE would have already grabbed up some of them.
It's really comforting to say that the people trashing your city are some evil outsiders, but mostly that's not the case at all. They're the guy you were in line behind at Wal-Mart a few days ago.

Honestly, it needs to just go away. It causes so much confusion - none of the surrounding states and virtually no city and county governments in Alabama are closed. Federal courts and other agencies are still working too so if you're involved with them it's a real PITA.

Um, they determined the cause of death was a homicide.
What's the issue now?

Pet store in Gardendale being boarded up in case of rioting there. This comes after some rioters have threatened to go into Birmingham suburbs to riot and destroy.

It's certainly hilarious the people clamoring for social distancing the last few weeks are suddenly okay with mass gatherings.
Remember the outrage over the barber in Birmingham?
It's amazing how narratives shift, isn't it?

I won't be going near Young Jewelers in Jasper tonight.
But I have the Coronavirus so I'm doing my part to keep it from spreading by isolating inside my home.

Don’t worry. Funny Maine went and handed out checks to black business owners in Birmingham today that were damaged.
I guess he doesn’t feel bad for the other business owners
