Oklahoma State EDGE transfer Wendell Gregory tells me that Alabama is a school that has expressed interest in him early on.

Gregory is coming off a strong redshirt freshman season at Oklahoma State in which he was named the Big 12 Defensive Freshman of the Year.

In his lone season with the Cowboys, Gregory led all FBS freshman with 12.5 tackles for loss.

Prior to transferring to Oklahoma State, Gregory spent one season at South Carolina where he redshirted.

He will be a special team player at best. The scheme Wommack has will not do 18 any good in the NFL. The only chance he has is if he can actually make the switch to ILBer which I don't think he can play at that level.

He is weak. Yall wonder why we can't get one yard. We can't fit any push.

We had a center like him on the 2009 offensive line that was great at getting movement. William Vlachos I believe. He was a pure college football player with no NFL future but the guy was tenacious.

Biggest thing we have to do is get rid of Grubb. If he keeps Grubb nothing matters.

I say this as someone who believes the 4th down call yesterday was potentially fireable: once OL play collapses beyond a certain threshold you can't evaluate QBs or OC's because nothing works reliably.

You simply can't run an efficient offense averaging well under 3YPC against P4 teams.

And no, I don't agree at all that Brailsford was a problem. He was an All-American level center until he hurt his foot, then he was barely functional.

Until then he was easily our most consistent lineman and all of the experts (Cubelic, film guy, etc) would agree.

Odd our backup who didn't even prepare with the first team or have Indiana prep came in cold and yet had a higher QBR, more yards and AVG then our protected starter.

Heck Mendoza was sacked 3 times in the first half taking the most pressure and no one made excuses for why he couldn't make the right read, make the right decision, know where the 1st down marker is, hold on to the ball and make passes down field.

I wouldn't put too much into that to be quite honest. The game was effectively over when Mack came into the game. We didn't score on our first opportunity, they went down to score. Both of us are slow offenses, so there just weren't going to be enough possessions left to make a 24-0 comeback unless they let us hit quick touchdowns.

That was garbage time...glad Mack got out there and had a few positive moments in one drive but it is largely meaningless for comparisons.

Grubb is arrogant. We run no underneath plays. We need to let the playmakers get the ball then get up field. Look what Brooks did to score the first TD vs Oklahoma. We are just yo stubborn.

Simpson was running out the pocket before it collapsed. Have to get him some easy throws that are underneath. Not throws where the WRs haven't turned around before he feels pressure.

The F OL can't block anybody with a pulse. After 15 games can't you see that!

But the biggest problem today is the OC that designed this scheme. The same guy that was fired from Seattle for this same shite!

Seattle got rid of Grubb and all the sudden their rush offense went from bottom tier to mid tier. It doesn't just look better on the stat sheet. I've watched them play this year and last a few times in their national games and it is night and day. They didn't really overhaul their OL personnel all that much. I believe they had both of their tailbacks last year too.

Grubb has a problem with run game planning. I am deeply concerned about the DeBoer/Grubb offensive scheme. I do not think it is particularly durable unless we plan on having multiple 1st round receivers and an 1st round QB every year. Even so, he's playing in rarified air now not in the dying Pac-12.

Seattle is 25th in the league in YPC this year.

Last year they were 17th.

Literally the only difference is commitment to the run.

We can lose any of them. I like him and he’s the guy that seemed to have the most dog in him, but he’s a FA now and he’s going to get paid by someone.

If true, it bodes poorly for this staff. He’s a shoo-in starter next year. Would indicate he wants to get the hell off a sinking ship.

Or he's just looking for a significant raise.
