Coaches have to run with 55-60 good players now much like the NFL (52).

You can't afford 85 good players.

When a QB gets hurt and can’t push the ball downfield that’s a player issue, not a coaching issue.

Disagree with this one! That’s a coaching issue big time. If your qb is hurt and can’t push the ball downfield you pull his arse and go with someone who can!

I think Bama should focus on 60-65 players to pay. After that, walkons to get beat up. No point in 85 paid players. Wasting money IMO

Gotta be careful because injuries, especially a rash of them at a particular position, all of the sudden can make you very thin. And unlike pro teams college teams have no ability add players during the season.

Love to hear the story of how. I'm not a fan of any NFL team. I wish some well though

My dad was a huge Stabler fan. Followed him to the Raiders way before I was born. I grew up a LA Raiders fan, followed them back to Oakland and now Vegas. It has not been very fun.

Extra un fun fact: My wife and I got married in Vegas at one of chapels. Went to the Raiders game the next day against the Eagles. Jon Gruden had just been fired due to the leaked emails. I get my new wife a jersey of her favorite player and he scores a touchdown in the game and we win!

The next week he gets drunk at top golf runs kills a lady drunk driving. Haventbreally been able to get her to watch The Raiders much with me since.

Ok, this one sucks. Most predicted max of 15 to the portal and we’re already passed that.

Entering pets heads falling off territory

Broken record: until we go over 28, we're actually doing better than average. A third of all college football players are in the portal. That's ~28 scholarship players per team in FBS. It probably wouldn't even be statistically an outlier for us to end up in the mid-30s. This is modern college football. Get use to it, you're losing a recruiting class per season. Why do you think everyone tries to shorten games now? Nobody has the depth to play point per minute offense in college football anymore.

Russaw to the portal

Ok now this shite is getting ridiculous. Why tf would he leave when he has a guaranteed spot and was a bonified playmaker

If we’re being honest, Russaw didn’t have a real path with Pierre

I thought Russaw was more of an inside linebacker type coming out of high school. He has a great nose for the football. Thought it was a bad coaching decision to only have him outside. Feel like he could’ve been a Donta Hightower type player for us. Losing him is a gut punch to me

How can you live up to your reputation when the coaches not putting you in position to be successful. He and Pierre should be wrecking havoc on defenses but a lot of the time they are dropped back in coverage while 3 dline guys get ston walled. Can blame him for leaving or anyone else on the line.

Because neither of those statements are true?

In what world is neither of those true? Has he made great plays for us before? Yes. Before his injury was he a starter and has started a few games since he's been back? Yes.... So what makes what I said untrue

It's tight rope act, I get it. Maybe 65-70....but having 85 paid is throwing money away

Doesn’t the scholarship limit increase to 105 this year?

He isn't guaranteed a starting spot. That is why he is leaving.

Let's see what happens with Hill now that the #4 issue has been resolved.

Now I agree with this. I figured they would use him more in a Jihaad Campbell role and solely leave Pierre on the edge just to get both of them on the field at the same time.

He doesn't want to play inside.

He wants to rush the passer.
