Is there any Deli in Tuscaloosa like the old Solomons Deli? They had unique sandwiches.

Tough to beat Solomon's Deli and their foil wrapped sandwiches.
I know they are chains, but the Jason's Deli here in on eof the better ones. And Firehouse Subs on campus is pretty good. But, I'm open to hear about a good local sandwich shop

I don't think there's a local sandwich shop in Tuscaloosa at all anymore.
Mr. G's in Northport has a lot of sandwiches on the menu.

quote:Yes. It's run by the same owner under a different name.
Is Blue Plate in any way affiliated with teh old 15th St/Northport Diner outfit? I know it's in the old Northport Diner location, and that place used to be great.

I think one recently opened downtown called Cravings. I haven't been to it yet so can't confirm, but a client of mine in Tuscaloosa was talking up their sandwiches recently.

Used to be Subs n You on University, but they closed. That place had the best hot sandwiches.
