That is really not the issue here as it is knowing where that line is. We considered buying a beach house at one point but due to this very issue. Can not expect people to not get upset either way. You own the property but due to erosion the line changes over time. The public says if I paying to maintain what is now on your property I should have access.
In the western part of the state same type of issues with rivers and streams that cut through private property. But if the state stocks the water anyone can fish it. They do not have access to the stream via private property but can float or wade anywhere in the water.
The difference though in the mountains more likely land owned by a family for multiple generations and someone using a gun to deter vs calling the police. I have made a lot of friends with families that have granted me and my boys access to their land.

They already changed it. Shelters open at 1 as I posted above. Masks and gloves provided and must be worn for the duration.

The EO didn’t specifically mention car seats, only non-essential items. Looks like this particular Walmart store seemed car seats non-essential and put car seats with all the other non-essentials.
Looked up that Tori Sachs person, and little surprise she’s a Republican operative that used to work for former Gov Snyder in Michigan.
Note - this isn’t a defense of Whitmer. I know absolutely nothing about her. She could be an idiot, but the Tweet is a bit dishonest in its accusation.

I didn't know what party she was until a couple of days ago, so I'm saying this in the most non-partisan way I can when I say she's an idiot.
She literally has banned people from visiting ANYONE unless you're providing care for them. If you walk into the neighbor's yard across the street and talk to them while they're standing on their porch you're subject to a $1,000 fine. She comes across being in panic mode and not thinking rationally. USA Today points out that she banned that walk across the street but kept buying lottery tickets legal. They also note she banned Michigan citizens from going to their vacation homes but a New Yorker with a place on the lake can come sling all the COVID he wants.
