Everybody is screaming for it.
So define your terms. What does that mean to you?
The point of this post is I bet I'm going to get 100 completely different responses because that word means different things to 100 different people.
And the basic reality is the days of college football coaches being R. Lee Ermey in Full Metal Jacket or Coach Bryant at Junction are gone and never, ever, ever coming back, if that's what you mean by discipline.
But I'll go first: To me it's an expectation that what you have drilled on and worked on ad nauseum in practice should be consistently executed on Saturdays, and if that expectation isn't met there should be consequences.
I don't give a crap about stuff like people stomping their feet and jawing, that was going on decades ago in the heat of battle but everybody in the stadium didn't have a camera in their pocket to record it and there weren't message boards like this for everyone to clutch their pearls and swoon about it.

I’m not sure I have a good definition for it, but not setting program records for penalties year after year might be a good measuring stick.

Look at some of the penalties we've seen lately. 2 glancing blows with a open hand on a qb that resulted in 1st downs. An unsportsmanlike against Law that should have been taunting against ut but he retaliated and then the ut player attempted to retaliate. Only Bama was called. At the very least it should have been off setting penalties. Milroe throws two decent passes into the endzone, Williams was held twice with no call. They missed the substitution delay which caused our fake injury debacle. Refs are just all over the place.
I'm not saying refs cost us the game but there is a lot of discrepancies. Heck ref issues were all over the place yesterday, with the refs trying to keep Texas in their game. No one even knows what's targeting anymore.
All I'm saying is that we do have issues we need to clean up but the refs need to do their job as well. I wonder if maybe they've created so many rules it's hard to ref a game anymore.

Some penalties are judgement calls and I understand that. Like pass interference. But the lack of discipline is when you commit a personal foul after the whistle. And it hurt us yesterday. Being a former offensive lineman I don’t understand jumping offsides either. That in my opinion is a lack of concentration on your performance.

We've been an undisciplined team for several years now.
I can handle lack of execution when running plays. I mean, sometimes the guy lining up opposite of our player is just better than him.
But the amount of stupid penalties we commit week in and week out is inexcusable.

Again bullseye. And thank you everyone for constructive answers amid all the weeping wailing and gnashing of teeth.

This is clrearly the root of our issues.
That and a lack of fundamentals. We aren't even getting the little things right.

The lack of fundamentals in college football is a direct result of removing tackle football in favor of flag due to concussion fears.
We let a bunch of women bring emotion into youth football and we're seeing the negative effects on Saturdays.

That's a true statement. However, that doesn't excuse trying to tackle SEC running backs above the chest. We tried it against USF, Vandy, and against TN and got burned EVERY time.
And, how does a fricking guard have a false start?!?!?! The ball is 24 inches away. Don't move until the ball moves.
I fully agree with your premise though. We're playing flag football with pads.

I can even excuse penalties to an extent as long as they're effort related. Like a hold or DPI to prevent a worse play? I won't begrudge a guy drawing that flag. It's the constant procedural/administrative stuff like false starts, illegal formations, substitution violations, or multiple guys with the same number and the selfish bullshite after a play.

Some penalties are going to be called and they are going to be growing pains. (i.e Mbakwe DPI). These are unfortunate but no problem.
Some penalties are unfortunate and just a mental mistake (I.e False start from a multi year starter)
Other penalties are unacceptable like multiple false starts in a half.
However the most egregious are taking injuries, kicking balls after they are spotted, practicing jump shots during a QB sneak, etc. Coach KDB should be absolutely fricking roasted and obliterated for those. Get that fricking shite out of our program, you fricking frick. This point is the only pointed criticism that KDB gets from me. Grab them by their face mask and bench their arse for a series.
EVERYONE WANTS TO BE THE BEAST BUT THEY DONT WANT TO DO WHAT THE BEAST DO.

It's about respect
These players do not respect KDB or his coaches. They have no fear of repercussions as well.
I can't blame them. KDB comes off like the softest guy and basically seems lost for thought whenever things are flying high.
Even the refs don't seem to respect him. Kirby throws a fit and calls change. Kalen throws them and they get worst against us

Don't disagree. No way should Law have been fielding that subsequent KO after his penalty. That's bullshite and until he holds players accountable for dumb shite it won't stop.
