Booker or Brock for Center would probably change the entire OL for the better simply from better snaps. Now add in maybe 30% better blocking and you have something. We are steps away from being pretty good with better blocking.

So why do McLaughlin and Dalcourt keep getting chance after chance despite years of mediocre at best play?

Loved seeing the 2 tight end sets.

I’m surprised that Danny Lewis hasn’t played any this season. He was one of the potential break out players before the season. I also noticed that Niblack didn’t have a reception yesterday. Outzs and Dippre had some big catches yesterday. Would be nice to get them all involved.

Maybe so. I was so mad in the first half that I totally forgot it.

The more we run 2 tight end sets, the more opportunities in the passing game will open up for them naturally.

Our TEs missed so many damn blocks yesterday. I bet they missed 6-7 blocks.

It was pitiful.

I agree. It all hinges on the offensive line. They have to get better.

I like that the team won yesterday but there is still so much to improve on. Saban has to be happy. Hopefully we continue to improve and take care of business in Starkville.

Dalcourt got whipped a bunch last year at center.

That’s true, but if he can be at least at McLaughlin’s level in without the snap issues, maybe it would be worth it. I don’t know, just a thought. I’m not sure we have a good option at center.

Didn't McLaughlin originally become starting center because Dalcourt was having trouble with snaps?
