The main concern though is when he's manned up against a WR, but there is always improvement with out players so perhaps it won't be as big of a deal, however we'll spend a lot of time in extra DB situations, so he'll be at Money, which I'm fine with. I would like to see some Jarrick personally, but the staff will make the best choice.
He's still a Safety in nickel, dime is where he drops down to Money. Collins has passed Perry and Williams, so he's squarely in the conversation when the dime is in. If it does turn out depth wise like it did in '12 at CB, I could see them playing 4 safeties at a given time again.

You also reminded me, since I can't find a snap count for CJ Mosley this past season, I was gonna go through and count them myself in some spare time, would anyone care for that? Maybe if I also count them for Trey and Nico? Garbage time excluded, perhaps. I've found a lot of the games, but I'm sure I'll have trouble finding the FAU, WKU, and WCU games though.
I tried to keep up in the LSU game, his first snap came when CBs announced the starting lineup defensively, which was 13:20 in the 1st. Thing is, they listed him as a starter.
HCD was used odd in that game as well, he was used less than Perry and split roughly have his snaps rushing the passer. Sunseri and Lester are usually the DB blitz guys, so I guess they were trying to pull the switch on LSU. Well, it didn't work from an effectiveness point-of-view. Blitzing didn't yield much result that night.

Yeah, I never understood what was going on when I saw HaHa blitz. He's a great cover guy, let him do his thing, blitz the others.
You interested in keeping CJ's snap count for a game or two?

People's perception that we were awful defensively against LSU last year is overblown.
Sure, they racked up some passing yards, but most of those passes were perfect. We missed a few tackles, but we also made some big stops. The defense ultimately did their job only letting them score 2 TDs and 1 fg, keeping the door open for our offense to win the game.
I agree. The longest pass was a checkdown to the FB, Belue misses, DePriest misses, and 42 yards later Belue and Milliner catch him. The tackling and the ineffectiveness of blitzing hurt more than anyone having bad coverage in the secondary. Nico did however has a rough go in coverage that night against RBs.

My 2 cents on Vinnie:
Good safety, horrible Star. He's actually a pretty good athlete, but his strength is reading plays and making tackles not covering slot WRs. I obviously don't get to see everything the coaches do on practice but I've always been surprised we didn't bring in Fulton and slide Belue or Milliner to Star at least until Geno was ready
I also agree. That read he made on the 3rd against Michigan to stop the read option was well done.
I'm not sure why they decided against that combination as well, unless they really wanted to keep Milliner on the boundary. Fulton didn't get banged up till the A&M IIRC, so there was time to do so before that.

If there's not a timetable, maybe. I'm probably gonna watch the A&M game in the next few days to watch what packages were used and the rotation speed.

Is there? I feel like I remember seeing something like that for last season, but I can't find anything when I search "CJ Mosley snap count".

Has the article on A.J's "Bro-tastic weekend" made it around here yet? Apparently he was hanging out with Wocka Flocka and was in some "unfortunate" photos.

Not that bad. Pic of him with rap dude and Cyrus. RD and Cyrus are flipping off the camera. Another pic of AJ wearing a beanie that says DRUGS, and another with some ugly arse ho's.

The one that can protect him if he decided to start talking shite.

To be fair the DRUGS thing was an acronym, but either way not a good beanie to be wearing, but honestly you wouldn't want someone famous to think you're a dick, so you'd be nice to em.

Waka is a shithead. It's not a positive spin on anything. "Do Right U Gain Success" is nothing. It means nothing. It's like if I wore around a shirt that said RAPE but it "stood for" Respect and Admiration for People Everywhere. Itd be for shock value

He's a new age ...what I call "don't hate" rapper. It's new guys with no skill who come up because as soon as anyone starts to shite on them people yell "why you hatin? Let that man eat".
But nah, it's not stoner rap like say....kid cudi. It's just really dumb shite. "I fricked my money up, now I can't re-up".
