Fulton was once again seen running some sprints today, in addition to the bike work.

Pagan split off with the NGs today, Fanning took his place as a 1st team end. Tomlinson and Kirven were the 2nd team ends. Tomlinson has also spent time at NG and as a interior lineman in even fronts.

Ryan Anderson broke of with the ILBs, due to the lack of depth with the DePriest. Otherwise the 2 deep would have a walkon ILB...

I hope DePriest gets better before the next scrimmage.

Would it?

CJ Mosley and Tana Patrick or Reggie Ragland

Tana Patrick or Reggie Ragland and Dillon Lee?

Mosley
Patrick
Ragland
Anderson

Dillon Lee is a SAM OLB.

Mosley and Patrick are the 1st team, Ragland and Anderson are the 2nd until DePriest returns.

Gotcha, I always thought Lee played inside, never paid much attention to him.

So are Fulton and DePriest expected to play at A-Day?

Fulton is OT participating in any scrimmages. He is down until fall.

if fulton was 100% right now would he be behind Belue and Gene?

He'd probably be competing with Jones and Sylve for the boundary spot in nickel.

Chris Jones would probably not be splitting time on both sides as well...

Someone called me an idiot for suggesting he might see some time there at some point.

I think if he was 100% it'd be Belue/Fulton in base, and in Nickel Geno plays Star, but it COULD be Belue/Gene in base, and Geno slides down to Star in Nickel+ while Fulton plays boundary. John is really good in bump and run, mirrored Milliner when he had the chances last season.

so far in the spring how does the DL stack up as far as the base 3-4. Who are the first 3 and who are the next 3.

Dickson seems to be pretty much back at OLB, so swap Tomlinson with him, and that's probably be the next 3 up.

It's Tomlinson, Lake, and Fanning.

They are still looking for a lineman to contribute as a rotational runstopper like Pagan in '12.

Dickson is back at OLB for now, he backed up Devall at JACK in the scrimmage.

ETA: Again? -_-

Ok.

It seems like we've got a lot of guys who could rush from the interior in even lines.

Dickson, Pagan, Tomlinson, Fanning, Stinson.

Hmm I thought Fulton would be ahead of Geno. He looked ok against Texas AnM when he was thrown in the fire.

Depends on how far back you take the "what if". If you are going all the way back to the point where his injury happened and erase it, he would be a more favorable start.

His injury opened the door for Geno Smith to step up to the level where he is now. Under Saban, the STAR is usually a base CB and not someone brought in. Smith was taught both positions early, while Fulton has focused only on CB in his career.

3 CBs are starters, regardless of what happens in the base D. With Bama's late season switch to base 3-3-5, it mattered even less.

Watched a video with AG and Kausler on al.com and they said Ivory was floating around 303-307ish and that the staff wanted him to play in that area, any reason for that? Maybe to help stamina and possibly help him rush when he has to?
