Tell him to start playing basketball again. And be better on defense please.

not exactly Grant related (maybe it is) but I was on hand for TWO things this weekend at Coleman Coliseum and one was particularly louder than the other.

Crimson Chaos hoops edition needs to step up their game. Also probably only a thousand students there to begin with, it was painfully obvious only the cheerleaders were doing much on defense. Word around campus I think has spread, this team is not worth leaving the dorm for. Oh yeah, and whatever happened to the arm wavy thing during free throws, that was legit.

With all due respect, to any current Chaos members who maybe on this board, Marks Madness was a great student section, and the Chaos has been very underwhelming. You can blame it on the recent play, and i'm certainly not in a position to tell anyone how to support this team in what has been a dumpster fire of a season, but even last year when we were in contention for a tournament berth, the student section was nowhere near full (most of the time), and the atmosphere was dead.

I'll give the Chaos their props on the 2011 season, that was as good a student section as we've EVER had. the drop off has made it all the more pitiful.

ETA: like i said, I've been told the team has become a punchline on campus, i don't know if anyone can verify this. I think going to that gymnastics meet reminded me of the passion our students have.

Mark's Maddness had better student leaders and Gottfried was a better promoter for kids coming to games. Two big differences.

Good point, that obviously has something to do with it. Even it CMG's last two years, when we were awful, the student section was pretty good. As has been said many times, Grant just does not connect with the fan base.

Don't know if anyone caught this game last night and I know this is a stretch. I'm desperate enough to put this name on the table. Bucky McMillan

I'm sorry, but that's a pretty BIG jump from coaching high school to being the hc of a college team.

I agree Crimson Chaos is digressed over the past 2 years that I've been here, part of it is the team, art of it is the leadership. I remeber my freshman year when they use to put newspapers on every seat in the student section so we could heckle the other team's line up. They also use to have that paper that told everyone when to do the appropriate cheers and what have you. Now they don't even do that anymore.

Lucky posted today and said that if it were up to him he'd give Grant one more year, but he must make it past the first round of the ncaa tournament. He added that there aren't many young coaches dreaming of coaching at Bama and sometimes continuity pays off.

To me that feels like the same excuse year after year. Just one more year and then we will see... Haven't we seen enough?

It's sad. I really don't think most of the students care. The memories have faded, and when you have an AD that couldn't care less about the program, then..
