Agree with Teague. I mean c'mon guys.. how many first yr QB's have we had since 2008 and we have only won less than 12 games in 2 of those seasons and never less than 10.
Chill. We got this.

I either take it as they are medically or physically testing Griffith's back.
He's had that back injury a while, like 2014 awhile. Stress fracture IIRC...

Saban needs to just send someone over to Oxford and straight up ask the NCAA if Davis can play.

Now that right there is funny.

Naw, man. I'm just a level headed Bama fan who, probably through self-deprecation, tries to correct others' wrong thinking. I'm also the type of guy who stops to tell people how they should have properly used that merge lane a few minutes back instead of backing up traffic.
Honestly, I get peeved about Bama fans for more than the QB.
I hate it when folks decry the "mush-rush" as they say it is ineffective in getting to the QB. Those folks are just f@cking wrong. Why? The "mush-rush" is actually a technique to play the run, as each Dlineman engages an offensive lineman with their arms, endeavors to control that guy at arms length, and has responsibility for BOTH GAPS on either side. This run-playing technique has the added benefit of allowing each Dlineman to keep his eyes upfield to collapse the pocket, protect against the scramble, as well as knock down passes. It's actually an amazing piece of defensive strategy and is a staple of what we do at Alabama now. Because of this technique, we no longer have to have a monster NT to demand a double team, a la Cody. Now, each Dlineman is responsible for multiple gaps on every play. It's fascinating.
I also hate Bama fans who bash a player for performing badly. One, if you could do it better, then get out there. If you can't, then you should support the guy who's working, sweating, and bleeding for days, months, and years FOR YOUR ENTERTAINMENT! And you have the audacity to down the guy? That crap is just embarrassing.
Another thing that drives me up the wall is Bama fans who, when Bama gives up a big play, blames the wrong guy, usually the guy closest to the ball (or the QB). Let's say a team completes a long pass on us, and a safety nearly knocks the ball away, but doesn't. Half of Bama fandom goes crazy wanting the safety's scholarship pulled. The problem is that the WR who caught the ball was actually the responsibility of a Corner on that play, but he was beaten so badly that he wasn't even on the TV screen anymore. But f@ck that Safety, right?
Or Bateman's INT against Ole Miss. Anyone with half a brain can deduce it wasn't Bateman's fault, given that Kiffin was chewing Stewart just seconds later. Did he chew Bateman? Nope.
Yes, I'm not in the group of people who think starting a true freshman is preferable to a redshirt junior. I'm just not.
However, I'm trying to let shite go more these days. But it's hard. Roll Tide.

I have talked about this and recently our game plan AGAINST Clemson until it was changed was ineffective

Exactly, right, and thank you, Boz, for mentioning it. Bateman got his bell rung against Ole Miss. That's why he was pulled. Did Coker come in and win the team by scrambling with toughness? Yes. But I would have loved to have seen what Bateman would have done with Kiffin's much more aggressive play-calling in quarters 2, 3, and 4.

Reality is not predicated on your belief in it.

We would've gotten our arse kicked. Good God man. I wish Bateman all the luck in the world but he has marginal talent.

I respectfully disagree. And given him being in the thick of the QB race 2 consecutive years on the most talented roster in CFB, Bama's coaching staff does, too.

Yes, apparently it's predicated after only your beliefs lol.

Thank you that would be fantastic. I haven't had a sig in a long time.

I find it hard to believe that both Saban and Kiffin would even have a QB on the roster if they believed him to have marginal talent, much less one that's been in the running to be the starter the past couple of years...if he's as marginal as most folks on here are saying, why is he still in the mix to start? Somehow I don't think Saban and Kiffin have suddenly become inept when evaluating talent...
While I'm intrigued as the next guy to see Hurts in action and would be excited to see him as a starter, I don't understand all the disregard for Bateman. Sounds like some of the same arguments thrown against Blake Sims a couple of years ago...
