Trey Mullinax had his best round of the tournament, too, shooting a 69. At -4 he'll likely be in the top 20 heading to Sunday. Very solid weekend out of him to this point.

JT made history. -9 and takes the lead at -11 for the tournament. Breaks a 40+ year old record by Johnny Miller for lowest round in a US Open. Miller shot -8 during a round in 1973.
All while looking fly with pink pants.

Koepka out in a hurry today, really hitting the ball well. Thomas looks shaky, although it's still very early. Clearly dealing with some nerves. He's dropped a shot and is three back of Koepka.

Just missed an easy putt to save par. Almost chipped it in on the 4th.
The wind is killing it out there.

Fleetwood crushed a shot on the 6th with a 7 iron and missed horribly.
JT is just barely missing

Another bad miss for Fleetwood

I can't see him recovering from this. I don't think both Koepka and Harmon are going to come back, so he's really going to have to turn it around.

Well, Mullinax is 3 under for today and tied for 12th.

His confidence is shot. He is either not putting enough speed on his putts; not reading the green well enough; or just taking bads shot.
This is definitely going to go down between Koepka and Harman.

Speaking of Harman, now 21 consecutive holes without a bogey

That's amazing, especially considering some of the spots he put himself in early in this round.

Mullinax finally in the top 10.
JT in the bunker. Not a solid day

Got one back at 10. Now -9. Still a long shot but maybe that will be a spark.

From being a star yesterday to virtually being blacked out today. They keep, showing Harman but not Thomas? What the hell is that?
Another bogey for Thomas. Guess that does it for him. Really bad Sunday day for him again.

They stopped showing Thomas because he fell out of contention. He missed a great opportunity today. You know it's going to be a bad day when you hit a lousy shot and blame the wind, which is what happened on 2.
Mullinax shot a 68 today and will most likely finish ahead of Thomas for the tournament. Surprising, but good job Trey!

That's golf, man....go out one day and think you got it all figured out, go the next day and it's like you've never picked up a club...go figure.

Rough weekend at the Travelers for the UA guys. Only Bud Cauley (-2) played well enough to stick around for the weekend. The cut was at even par.
Mullinax (+1), Thomas (+5), Wyatt (+5) all had short weeks.
Spieth (-8) leads the tournament.
