He’s getting year four regardless. He inherited a damn mess. Even veteran head coaches would have trouble turning around what Alabama baseball fell into.

Yea he's not getting fired, but a lot of us are going to struggle to stay invested in this thing if we go 10-20 in the SEC.
Hopefully we take another step, get to 14-16/15-15, go to Hoover and make a regional. That's a fair goal for next season IMHO.

This is definitely the expectation we should have. We bring back a lot of good pieces and add another solid class.

We still have no idea what our rotation looks like. Meanwhile half the SEC has freshmen and sophomore pitchers that are all-world.

Yeah, no coach will have much support/any momentum if you post three straight losing SEC records no matter the amount of hope and faith you have in a guy.

In Bohannon's defense, the SEC schedule this year was ridiculously stupid. He no way Kentucky should be in Hoover over us, but that's just the way shite works out.

Kentucky is sitting at home with us. South Carolina made it in. Which is worse. We won that series.

Agree, but even best case we swap Vandy and UGA for Kentucky and Tennessee and go from 7-23 to 10-20 or something. That'd be better and we'd probably be in Hoover, but nothing past that.

That’s true. We are even or slightly better than the worst teams In the east. We haven’t even caught the 6th place west team yet. That’s how far we still have to go. We really need some phenomenal recruiting

Davis Vainer is transferring to AZ. Off season is off to a wonderful start.
Edit: After thinking about it, this will free up some money for Chase Lee. He deserves it. Plus we have 37 middle relievers coming back next year so it’s not a huge loss.
We need to keep McCullough and Medders away from the MLB draft though.

can this thread be whacked. I felt good we would make it to Hoover but no..someone accidently whacked the softball thread before post season but this one still seems to hang on. We had to beg to get the softball thread back.

I agree this thread should fall away but you hardcore baseball guys please keep us up to date on roster moves and recruiting until next year. I’d like to hold out hope that we are still slogging our way out of the west cellar.

I wouldn’t mind an off-season baseball thread. It will probably be on page 2 by the time the 2020 season starts but it would be nice to keep up with recruiting news/roster moves.

Yea I wouldn’t mind one for every sport but the football news can be absorbed into the recruiting and roster one until spring or recruiting season really heats up. Would love to keep up with who is coming in regarding baseball too bc I want us to be good again

The Tom Arnold needs to be the official Bama board baseball guy. He needs to be in charge of all threads and things baseball
