I haven’t watched much of our baseball team this year but Holcomb’s swing mechanics looked awful.

if i counted correctly from rolltide stats, bama left 28 men on base in the three games.

not to beat up on KH, but its time for him to sit a couple of games. he's clueless on a breaking pitch.

In his defense, if he would have gone to Troy, UAB, or Samford he probably would have been a lifetime .350 hitter.

He can’t touch SEC pitching and everybody knows how to pitch to him. There has to be a young guy we can bring in to at least get some experience for next year.

bama must be real thin if he is the best DH on the team.

So big weekend @Auburn. Do we avoid getting swept?

I’d just like one. That would be a win for this team.

Looking back at some conference records in the SEC over the last several years it becomes obvious how unforgiving the SEC is for a young team. Arkansas was 7-23 in 2016. They were in the CWS two years later. I don’t expect that sort of turnaround by 2021, but there’s hope.

Definitely. Sound like a broken record, but this year, I was just hoping the team would perform well in mid week games (which they have) and avoid getting swept. Making it to Hoover would be more reasonable if they didn't have a ridiculous schedule.

I'm sure every coach has thought of this before, but if you know, like in Bama's situation this year, their 1-2-3 guys are better than your 1-2-3 guys...do you not give up game basically and start your number 3 and try to win games 2 & 3.....so basically start 3-1-2?

I mentioned that during the Florida series. I at one point thought that was the direction Bohannon was going when it looked like Brock was going to be better than Sam.

Problem being we don’t have a #3 and can’t afford to burn the whole bullpen on Friday.

I get that...but maybe Friday night starter would be "take one for the team" mentality....all in on the sat - sun matchups. Oh well.

I’m with you. I think we should have mixed it up more this year. Hell what’s the worst that could happen at this point?

What's sad is feels like we're much better at it than we were in the Gaspard/Andy P. days. Felt like our run scoring % with runners on 3rd and less than 2 outs was like 15%>

Would have been nice for Reeves to move the runners over with a sac bunt there...
