Haha ain’t no doubt! Literally all three hits this inning have come off 85 MPH fastballs right down the middle.

It’s going to be hard to win much if we can’t get at least 6-7 good innings from our Friday night guy. Realy puts us behind the 8 ball for the rest of the series. Florida’s guy went the distance tonight.

I’m almost convinced Bohannon concedes the Friday night games in hopes of winning Saturday and stealing one Sunday.
We’ll see what we Brock can do today. Florida was not All-World at the plate last night. As long as we didn’t serve the ball up on a silver platter we were fine.

I honestly didn't give Bama much a chance due Florida's propensity to wake up on offense and the talent deficiency. Seems like Bohannon has a scrappy team. Hope we can steal a win today.

JMO but I disagree with that philosophy. I try to get a W on Friday nearly at all costs. It relieves a whole lot of pressure because you’re not going to get swept and it gives you 2 chances to steal another one and thus the series. But lose on Friday and you’ve got to win 2 straight to take the series and the threat of getting swept is still on the table. I think a W on Friday would help a young team’s confidence a lot and let them play loose on Sat and Sun.
But Bohannon is the man so we’ll do it his way.

Florida's pitcher was unconscious last night. His stuff was absolutely filthy. Good pitching beats good hitting every time. We have a chance to meet a number 2 who is throwing his average or even below. Not often do guys throw like that guy was throwing last night. Odds are somewhat in our favor.

Welp I don’t think Finnerty is our best pitcher or at least he hasn’t been the last couple weeks. We’ll see what Brock does today and what our rotation looks like next week.

Only way it makes remote sense is this philosophy:
Fri: Our #1 vs their #1 = favor them
Sat: Our #2 vs their #2 = favor them
Sun: Our #3/bullpen vs their #3 = toss up
vs
Fri: Our #2 vs their #1 = favor them
Sat: Our #1 vs their #2 = favor us
Sun: Our #3/bullpen vs their #3 = toss up
Again, we will see what Brock does today and what the rotation looks like next week. Gotta think outside the box a bit this year to steal some Ws.
ETA: We’re averaging less than 2 runs per game on Friday nights in conference play and without the meaningless 3-run 9th against Arkansas it would be less than 1. Our offense does not match up well with the gauntlet of SEC Friday night pitching. Take our chances on Saturday and Sunday.
