Why start a thread if you don't have intentions of keeping it updated

Bexie has been good about it in previous years.

Not sure what happened this season though.

ULL won't be nearly as good this year as they were last season. They lost a big portion of their team. They're 4-4 so far this season with losses to Mcneese State, Stony Brook and UTSA.

Really have to win two games. Hopefully we have a shot at a sweep come Sunday.

Yea ULL is off to a slow start, so we need to take advantage of getting them early in the year and at the very least win the series. Hopefully ULL will get it turned around later in the season and it'll end up being a solid RPI weekend for us.

Also, nice to see Jake Hubbard throw six strong innings Tuesday. If he's finally healthy again he'll be a big boost to the pitching staff.

I just started working from home and follow baseball pretty religiously. I'd be willing to take over updating the thread. It's a damn shame LSU can get a 37 page thread for a Thursday night game against Southeastern and we're on page four three weeks in.

UL baseball looks to curb errors this weekend vs. Alabama

quote:

Heading into this weekend's non-conference series at No. 25 Alabama, the UL baseball team has committed 15 errors through eight games.

That's two more than Ragin' Cajun opponents have made this year, and at that rate UL is on pace for 100-plus over the course of a 54-game regular season.

A season ago, when the Cajuns finished 58-10 and played in an NCAA Super Regional, they committed just 56 errors in 68 games.

Casey Hughston brings .636 average into Alabama's home weekend series against Louisiana-Lafayette

quote:

Casey Hughston isn't just feasting on weaker competition to start the season for Alabama.

The sophomore right fielder is hitting .636, fourth in the country, with a nation-best 18 hits. He's second in the country with 15 RBI, fifth with six doubles and the slugging left-hander also has two home runs.

Hughston has hit in all of Alabama's eight games this season, and had seven hits in last weekend's series at No. 3 Houston.

Alabama (6-2) hosts Louisiana-Lafayette (4-4), one of the top teams in the country last season before losing in the NCAA Super Regional round, this weekend at the Hoover Met.

Friday's game was moved from 6:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. to escape cold temperatures at night. Saturday's game is at 2 p.m. and Sunday's game is at 1 p.m.

The facelift to Sewell-Thomas Stadium will draw fans back, but Alabama baseball needs a deep tournament run to get the interest back. It was falling off late in the Jim Wells era and is pathetic under Gaspard.

I agree. I'm a fan that was present during the good ole days of the "Super fan" when Sewell Thomas was exciting. I miss those days, but this team has potential and I'd rather follow now than wait to jump on the bandwagon. Alabama is much like the Braves - there's always hope, but never results.
