I can accept giving up yards to a good play design. I hate to see the lolly gagging and lack of intensity. That starts with the coordinator. If I have to watch Jared Mayden trot after a receiver again after he gave him a 5 yard cushion I might have an aneurysm. Go to Bessemer and Pritchard and College Park and Carol City and recruit some dudes. I just can not stand to see the lack of accountability. I want to give Golding the benefit of the doubt, because the players have to hold each other accountable. This is an effort issue right now. A hustle issue. There isn’t an excuse for it.

This defense is just always backing up, receiving the attack from the offense. We never fricking attack at all. This is so frustrating to watch.

Yep. I don’t know why but it’s much easier for me to watch our offense struggle and our defense dominate. The 2016 team will always be a favorite of mine. Personal preference perhaps, I just can not stand watching a team carve us up. Defense and offensive line play are as much about want to as talent. There’s no “make their arse quit” on the field today. Nobody is upset that they’re getting pushed off the ball. I don’t care if it’s backups, your place on the depth chart has nothing to do with will and desire. I hope this bunch coming in has more pride

It is embarrassing. This defense isn't worth the paper it's made of.

But the fault lies with the players. If guys are constantly losing their matchups, getting beat, losing contain, not getting off blocks, etc., then there are no defensive calls to make that will be successful.

I know most of the board blames Golding, but I think it's pretty clear that we don't have the same kind of dudes on the field as in years' past. The Jimmies n Joes difference is plain as day.
