I noticed every player was wearing gloves. With the moisture would it have been better to take the gloves off?

Gloves now days actually get stickier with wet weather.. the moisture should have been an improvement on the gloves.. we just suck at tackling. We take bad angles and dive 3 feet in front of the feet and hope to grab an ankle. We don’t square up and a lot of it is because we are not in the right positions. We are rushing to get to the wide open guy
