The clanga fans online are now claiming Taylor had the flu all week and is injured. Excuses flowing like a river.

Their offense was pretty decent... But once Taylor went out it was over

Boutwell out and Taylor seemingly not greenlighted to run a bunch really hurt their run-pass balance.
However, I'm hella impressed with Lebby's ability to manufacture touches for Evans.
You know he's their focus in the pass game. You know he's going to be looking for ways to get Evans mismatched on your linebackers and safeties. You know they're going to find ways to exploit zone coverages to leave him wide open.
However, it felt like we could do nothing to stop it. It almost felt like watching Sark work magic to get Smitty wide-arse-open despite being the complete focus of the pass game plan for the defense.
Lebby isn't going to be long in Starkville unless he wants to be there. He's a good one.

He was absolutely injured coming in, I think he has a hamstring or an ankle issue because he clearly didn’t want to run and looked like he was trying to walk in sand when he did.

We were fortunate they were very beat up by Mizzou last week. Alabama seemed like the superior team regardless but that was not the game we probably get in some injury vacuum.
Mizzou under Drinkwitz always seems to get some dirty hits or otherwise beat your skill players up. Personally, I think their safety fricked our meager run game for the rest of the season when he concussed Jam Miller well out of bounds last year. After that, Miller was out there reading the blocks like Tua reads coverages now. SLOW! He'd had 3 solid games including Mizzou but was basically a nonentity the rest of the season after that hit.
So I knew that - already seeing that their backfield was getting battered when watching the end of the Mizzou game - MSU was likely to have a hangover game.
