It's bullshite. "Known, connected people" are just as likely to be idiots as anyone else. Was Saban concerned about losing the locker room? Probably a little because he always believed that who the players liked should hold SOME sway in who got the job. But, they didn't intentionally play bad because Milroe was benched. They played just as shitty before Milroe was benched, and they looked like shite in a lot of games after he was benched. The south Florida game looked especially bad because we tried to change how we were making calls and signaling snaps that game. Most of that year was a shitshow because we had new coordinators, and a QB that literally couldn't do high school level QB stuff, which severely limited the offense. And yes, a LOT of Seth's snap issues were because of Milroe. I think if the o-line hadn't looked so bad, Ty would have won the job. But, the coaches probably thought we were going to need Milroe's legs with the way we pass blocked.

Also, Simpson can run better than most QB's. He's not Milroe fast, but he has more shake than Milroe and is plenty fast.

I was screaming and bringing this up a lot last night on here. Glad it's finally getting the traction it deserves. Herbstreit or Fowler should have called his arse out.
Milroe blessed out Prentiss for not blocking on the INT. Did anyone get in Milroe's arse for A: throwing another INT or B: totally bailing on hitting the guy out of bounds and trying to trip the guy??? There should be memes everywhere so Milroe knows we know what a p%ssy move that was. He's a captain and supposed heart of this team. You just saw what he, and this team (coaches included), are made of. Soft, weak, p%ssy....
I have no idea how players on that team have not called him out or chewed him out. I mean hell, he 3 or 4 people around him to protect him walking to the locker room. What a piece of work.

I've said this for 2 years.
But, I think Milroe fools coaches. It's not apparent how fricking terrible he is until he's in a game where we can't just out-talent the DB's or he can't just run wild. I've never AGREED that he should be the starter. But, thinking the team revolted is why he was is some delusional flat earther type shite.

The whole thing is just weird, like the team is living in a different reality altogether; like Milroe has everyone at the nose of a shotgun including the coaches. The culture seems to be well established, whatever it is.

It is fairly obvious but a lot of folks just don't want to accept it.

I concur. It's alarming.
And one more thing on this pitiful soccer tackle. Like Milroe studder stepped to try and trip the guy! This wasn't bad timing or bad angle. He studder stepped to try it and whiffed. Garbage arse!

The players are getting paid regardless to winning or losing. I don't think the results of the loss last night bother them that much.
Crazy to think but the fans are the folks that will need to accept losing. You can forget the argument about players hurting their draft rankings. This bunch doesn't deal in long term planning.
Really there is no way out of this.

Simple minds love simple explanations.

Think this is where having a few more instate players helps you. Instate guys will usually take more pride in their home state school.
Some guy from CA that just came for NIL may not care if you win or lose, especially after you lose a few.

Don't be so hard on yourself.

Wow, these non-simple zingers sting. Y'all carry on with your deep theories without me. I don't want to waste your time.

This isn't just a Bama problem. Ole Miss, Uga, and LSU are fighting this same deal.
