He made Auburn fans whine for years, he’s a legend in my book.

Kind of ironic that the Hollywood movie, "Harvey," was actually about the same subject. Harvey's legacy is mental illness. Watching society deal with him as if he was actually sane was the real tragedy.

On an unrelated note, guess who is gonna be in Auburn tomorrow Should I stop by Toomer's corner and "pour one out" for Harvey?

The dude was a piece of shite. He shouldn’t be a legend in anyone’s books. He was a black eye for the university.

When I was leaving the Texas A&M game this last season, a guy in front of us had a Harvey Updyke jersey on with the #Spike80DF on it. People were stopping him to take pictures.

Agreed. He needed help long ago. By the time he poisoned the trees, I think he was likely pretty much beyond help at that point.

He had mental issues. He shouldn’t have killed trees but people act like he was a serial killer. I won’t celebrate his passing.

I’m not going to celebrate anyone’s passing but I’m not going to celebrate him either. Which obviously some people here do
