asking chat gpt if there have been any plays run in the basketball game im currently watching.

“chatgpt, was that a pick n roll?!? i couldn’t tell. it looked kinda like one but i know we don’t run those.”

there are cows currently living a more intellectually rich life in the field than you “according to chatgpt” dullards.

Ok. Here goes my opinion:

Being great isn’t just wining titles

Great teams:
Wins a lot (usually 75%+ of games)
Competes for: Conference titles 75% of the time.
Deep postseason runs.

Beats other good teams, not just bad ones.

Great teams show up against quality competition.

(how great teams win mean a lot)

Great teams are strong on both ends.
Offense
Efficient scoring (good shot selection and works within a system offense)

Very Low turnover rate
Can score in multiple ways (transition, half-court, late clock, great guards, but utilizes big men often)

Defense

Rebounds well
Doesn’t rely on gambling or fouling

I would say a great team is Top ~20 nationally (or top 5–10%) in both offensive and defensive efficiency is the gold standard.

Great teams, Win ugly games.

Adjust to different styles (fast, slow, physical, small-ball)

Don’t collapse after a bad stretch of missed shots.

This is where “good” teams usually fall short.

Clear roles of a team: (star, shooter, defender, glue guy)

Ball moves, and ball is shared often, but within the offensive system.
Not just whoever brings it up the court dribble drive shoot.

High-End Talent separates us from great teams.

Most great teams have at least:
1 elite player (All-American / All-NBA type)
Or multiple very good players who complement each other
You don’t always need a superstar—but in tight games, someone must be able to get a bucket or make the big key shot.

For our team. I Ask myself:

“Would I be surprised if this team won the title?”

No ? Great team
Maybe with luck ? Very good team
Yes ? Good or average team

So you tell me.

Are we a great team?

copying and pasting chatgpt = my opinion. oh honey...no.

try again with your own words buddy, we know you can do it.

what did you mean when you said we only ran one play the whole half?

surely you weren't serious when you said we never run pick n rolls?

You’re mad. But Of we lose by 20, what will be your reasoning?

An off game of shooting 3’s.

They just said we shoot 53% of our shots as 3’s and beer since Wooden invented the game has a team that does that won a title.

At that time. On ESPN’s game cast app. You can see who bright the ball up the court, who shot the ball, stat lines, etc.. go check it out

it's good you agree with this at least. you must be just thrilled that we have Oats who assures we're near the top of every metric in this regard every season.

I agree.

can't think of any single thing one of these FOG could post that could be as immediately disqualifying as "we never run a pick n roll".

I’ll just watch this game, and see the brilliance of a team that has great scheme, runs tons of plays to find the open guy, passes more than one time down the court, and wins the game because they’re the better team and more “polished”.

Good luck

So funny that you know in your heart it's a stupid thing to keep saying, which is why you would never actually respond to questions about it.

But you believe it so deeply and stupidly that here again you seem to be implying we don't run plays.

You really actually are that fricking stupid and clueless about what you're watching.

Come on... we're shooting 43% from 3 pt land. Clearly we're dying by the 3, exactly like OP expertly suggested... and not all the turnovers he mentions 0 times.
