Bama is playing tomorrow, right?

What matchups do you see us being successful?

Which ones does Arky potentially have the advantage?

Stat/Score predictions?

I see us struggling still with qb/center exchange. Blake is most successful when he can go in shotgun. Bozeman is pretty terrible doing those longer snaps.

I think our defense will struggle against their tight ends. Our linebackers need to step it up against the pass.

For score prediction I'm feeling 28-24 alabama.

I like our chances, primarily because what Arkansas does best (run the ball) is the one thing that our defense has done well against thus far this year...

Think we slow down their run game, but are vulnerable to the play-action pass...I'm guessing we pull away late, 31-17 Bama...

Agree...several of his snaps were low against Ole Miss...hopefully he got that ironed out in practice this week...

Also agree...couldn't understand why, against Ole Miss, there were several plays where DePriest was trying to cover Engram out of that trips formation...not too many LBs that can do that...heck, even our safeties were struggling with it...

This is Bleacher Report's prediction for the game:

quote:

When: Saturday, Oct. 11; 6 p.m. ET

Last meeting: Alabama ran for 352 yards in a 52-0 home shutout of Arkansas last October.

What to watch for

Alabama (4-1, 1-1 SEC) allowed two late touchdowns then saw Blake Sims' potential game-winning touchdown pass intercepted in the end zone in the loss at Ole Miss. The Crimson Tide's first legitimate challenge of the season exposed breakdowns on defense and saw their potent offense slow down on the bigger stage.

"We did not play as well as what we have been playing and do what we do to continue to improve," Alabama coach Nick Saban told Andrew Gribble of AL.com.

The Tide haven't lost consecutive SEC games since 2007, in Nick Saban's first season, but after being unable to get to a mistake-prone Bo Wallace they now have to deal with a bruising run game that's well-rested after being off last week. Alabama tends to fare better against running teams, but if it keeps turning the ball over its defense is vulnerable to being worn down.

Arkansas (3-2, 0-2) averages 316.6 rushing yards per game, seventh-best in the country. Combined, Alex Collins and Jonathan Williams have run for 14 touchdowns and average just under 7.3 yards per carry as they run behind a massive offensive line that will give Alabama's great defensive front a huge test.

For the first time in recent memory, it will be Alabama trying to be the one to ramp up the tempo, but it will be Arkansas' control of the clock that gives it the victory and sends the Tide spiraling into uncertainty.

Prediction: Arkansas 28, Alabama 24

Here are their other predictions for games that may have an effect on the rest of our season:

Mississippi State 36 - Auburn 30
UCLA 30 - Oregon 24
Florida 20 - LSU 14
Texas A&M 38 - Ole Miss 34

Sorry but that is ridiculous. I know Arkansas is very much improved and I think they are a quality team but I don't think they can beat us.
Alabama 31
Arkansas 13

If we lose to Arky the season is over. Time to start buying the Capital One Bowl tickets and hoping we can beat enough teams to get there.

I think it will be close, but we will win.

I've heard some say that if we had lost to Arky early in the season in 2010 we would have imploded in epic fashion. Now that we have that early season loss, how will we respond?

I think we match up very favorably with Arky. Our defensive strength is clearly up front, and we've played the run extremely well this year. I don't really see Arkansas being able to run consistently enough to do much on offense.

Arkansas is not particularly good defensively. I think they are like 75 or something in total defense? We should be able to pretty much do whatever we want regardless of the new center.

This is more of a game like Florida. We are so much better than Arkansas that it doesn't matter if we make mistakes or not.

I think it'll be a very competitive game, probably a 10-14 point margin in our favor throughout. A lot will depend on what the attitude has been like in practice this week. I do think Arkansas is getting a little too much credit for losing to an A&M team in OT that may not be all that good.

Honestly, all of them except Hunter Henry on any LB or Safety other than Collins.

Stat/Score predictions?

I think Sims and the offense storm back with a vengeance, I think our D holds their run O down.

Final Prediction: Bama wins 42-13
