It’s a sport the University athletics program fields a team in. That costs money. And if you’re paying for it, I hope they’re finding some measure of success. And considering where that program has been, Kristy Curry seems to be a great job.

I get it...Roll Tide and all but the NIT is a participation trophy and should never be touted as an accomplishment. My $0.02 anyways.

Back to back 20 win seasons for a program that had trouble managing 20 wins over the course of two seasons combined. I think it’s a program taking steps.

We just missed making the Big Dance this year. An NIT championship would be a nice consolation prize until next year. Curry is building the women's program up slowly but surely.

yep lost two overtime heartbreakers to ranked teams to end the season. win those and one tourney game they would have likely made the big dance.

And the ride is over. Va Tech bounced the Tide out of the WNIT this afternoon so shooty hoops is done in Tuscaloosa.
