Reggie Ragland didn't do much his first couple of years, then became a stud his junior year.

Marlon Humphrey redshirted his freshman year and became a first round pick.

Don't write off Davis just yet.

Neither were passed on the depth chart by younger guys or walk-ons. I'm not writing him off, but doubt he's ready to contribute this season.

Would be nice to see him on Special Teams; show his head is in the right place. Bet his Dad is pissing his pants about now. All these guys out and Ben not even near the list of those who will participate. Would not be surprised if he didn't transfer in Jan. Have 2 years to contribute somewhere. (BUT would love to see him square himself and get on the field at BAMA.. lose that #1 jersey)

All valid points. So he basically got his rankings based on measurables and potential? I'm not a recruiting buff. I hope he turns things around.

I am not either, just kind of reading tea leaves. He does have a long time to get it turned around though.

He got dinged-up last year early and wound up RS'ing. Not sure why he isn't getting more mention.

To be fair, Reuben was passed on the depth chart until something clicked and suddenly he went from a bust to a beast linebacker in coverage. I remember most of us had written him off as being nothing more than the headless horseman who was always getting concussed and had stiff hips.

He will be competing with Mack Wilson and Dylan Moses inside not to mention a couple other youngsters. Next year we get the 2 guys back from injury plus some really good young guys. I won't write him off but it is disappointing that in his second year he can't step up with all of the injuries. Was supposed to be better than Wilson....
