Such a shame. Honestly, who knows if he could be as successful as he was previously, but man his defenses were great.

Sometimes my gut instincts turn out to be correct. Didn’t want it to be in this case, but, has allowed me to have some pretty good fortune in picking stocks.

But knowing how Saban is, he would never announce his retirement right before the NC and detract from that. Hell that’s all people would be talking about. You wouldn’t even know a game was going on. Lol. So I was already paranoid that if he was going to retire, it would be announced Tuesday-Friday timeframe. So with the Steele news leaking out late today just set off the paranoia.

Don’t ban me for being spot on. :)

Well. I will say that I am a lottery player. I do like to gamble. But as far as stock info…I hate giving out that kind of advice because I do not mind if I lose money but my conscience gets me if I cause others to lose money. I will give some advice as to what I am doing for the next 6-9 months primarily because it’s an election year and there is a ton of uncertainty in the markets right now and I believe they are artificially inflated. I am moving 75% of my investment and brokerage accounts to a cash vehicle(likely short term investment CD or just an interest bearing cash account. When I get more comfortable with the economic environment I will likely move into growth / large cap growth funds and probably some individual large cap stocks as the big boys will be tabbed to drive the economy forward with the mid tier companies riding their cost tails. Disclaimer: I am absolutely NOT a financial advisor so do you own due diligence when making any financial decisions.

Betting on Bama during the past 17 years has been a very good time. I don’t have a real system other than sticking to the process as Saban taught us. I only bet on Bama games, conference championship games and BCS/playoff games.

Not to completely derail this thread, but I believe that is similar to Ray Dalio’s advice as well.

t was Golding and Lupoi. Lupoi ended up taking all the blame.

I know I'm answering this late and the point is really moot now but Golding was promoted half way through the season due to Lopoi's incompetence.
