I’m going to HOPE that some of this is a product of it being a strange start to the season.
Working in some new faces, injuries, a lot of travel, some hard opponents. We’ll settle into more of a routine and regional games coming up so maybe we can figure some stuff out

Not many positives can be taken from this game. Just a real shite performance after putting together about 12-15 really solid minutes.

I’m all the way out on Brian Adams. Oats and Murphy haven’t recruited unbelievable defensive players but they aren’t finding schemes to mask deficiencies either.

We consistently play like shite in the second half unless we have a pedestrian first half. If we are up 15+ at halftime we almost always look awful after. That's an Oats thing. Not a this team thing.

Not even sure he should be playing the minutes he's getting. We are getting worked on the glass, he is now shooting 25% from 3 for year and 35 % from 2. He doesn't offer great rebounding help and he and Mallette can barely touch the net.
I watched 3 guards from Florida (Martin, Richard & Clayton) last year that were 6'2, 6'3 and 6'4 throwing down hammers and catching ridiculous alley oops yet we somehow always end up with these guys who only have one skillset and somehow play shorter and less athletic than their height.

I agree but I feel like he’s already had several come to Jesus meetings with the team. Changed the starting lineup, different combinations, etc.
Nothing has fully clicked. I do think the last trick in the book that we have that will help is shortening the bench. That’ll happen anyway, but in league play we need to find our 8 guys and just play them and let them gel. We’re deep, but at a certain point the minutes go away for some folks and I think now is the time.
I personally think it’s Philon, Biz, Bethea, Allen, Aiden, TBB, Houston, and Bristow. The more they play with each other it’ll start clicking better hopefully. Oats loves Wrightsell though and hates TBB so maybe they switch
