I have no ill will towards the guy...but he wasnt good enough to get the Oline job at Bama. His resume was not good at all.

Felt that way from the moment he was hired. The resume just didn't seem like someone who should be coaching here. No real notable achievements.

“He said he’d be at school on Monday. Not sure he knew that was coming….”

Did he not watch game film this past season?

Band-aid, Grubb is still running the offense.

Good, we still have at least one or two more that need to go. We also need all the people that were saying CKD didn’t have the balls to fire anyone to come eat their crow.

Cignetti > Deboer.

Kirby is better than both of them but what does that have to do with anything?

To clarify, I’m not hating on CKD. I like him. He doesn’t have the same level of experience as both of them. No one starts out being great, it takes time and experience.

It’s almost like you shouldn’t fire your OL coach when the portal is open so that you can fill your OL needs.

Someone so utterly incompetent at coaching the OL should not be regarded as magically being competent at recruiting. If I'm a solid OL prospect, I want to go to a school where my position coach actually knows what the frick he is doing and can help me get to the next level.

There’s also relationships built and existing.

Both of y'all are right.

1.) Probably not good to blow things up in the middle of a recruiting cycle.
2.) Who would want to play for him.

With that being said….Cap was a bad hire since day 1. His resume was bad and Michigan State fans were rejoicing when we hired him away.

By all accounts he’s an excellent recruiter

I figured all of the "player coaches" would be retained until after the dead signing day.

Coaches have a tough time to balance being a "players coach" and a developmental coach. With the transfer portal.... it's hard to develop anyone.

For 20 million per year, you expect a staff to develop players.

Brandon Jones is who I’m hoping for. Not only is he a great coach, but it would also signal that Outside Zone would be a staple in our run game. Mizzou exclusively runs Outside Zone and they do it better than anyone in the country and are always near the top of the SEC in rushing with Outside Zone being 80%+ of their run game. Also, “Duo” (Grubb’s only run apparently), is the compliment to outside zone. This would be a HUGE hire for multiple reasons
