This isn’t going to be solved with X’s and O’s. This team needs a Jimmy Johnson/Mike Ditka/Don Shula type alpha dog that will literally run off half our roster. Take no shite and send every “star” with even a hint of attitude out of Tuscaloosa.

Nothing of truth or substance is ever said at a press conference these days. Especially from an OC. It makes him look smart for not giving the media anything at all to run with in their columns or videos. “Bama coaches don't believe in their players” isn’t something that needs to show up on a headline.

But you want to be mad about him. That’s fine, stay mad.

The play on the field has given the media enough ammo for us to be the laughing stock of the weekend. And the press conferences by the HC and his two coordinators have left fans and the media to believe they have no idea what theyre doing. Its been an embarrassment to the university, former players and the fans.

I guess he’s bigger than Chris Capps, but he sure plays like him.

Press conferences mean nothing. Understand that and it’ll be great for your blood pressure.

If the OC really had no clue what he was doing Saban wouldn’t have tried to hire him, twice.

You’ll be glad to know that UNC and Belichick getting boat raced by 5 TDs in the third quarter will be the laughing stock of the weekend.

UNC doesn't have one of the most talented rosters in the country and wasn't pre season ranked #8. They won't take the title of laughing stock of the weekend from us. We earned that SOB.

Are we one of the most talented teams? Because I certainly haven’t seen anything that would indicate that other than useless recruiting rankings and even more useless preseason rankings.

My expectations were that this was going to be a very painful few years. This year seems to be the culmination of all the problems that we’ve seen for multiple seasons now. Do I have faith in DeBoer to fix it? Not really. This was always going to suck for a few years. I just hope we can accelerate thorough it, be it DeBoer or someone else.

He doesn’t have to be our starting left tackle. It’s not written in stone. We have trotted his fat arse out there for 2 or 3 years based on potential and his size. And he has sucked the whole time. You know what you have in Proctor and it ain’t working. Send somebody else out there and see if they can do better.

Posted this a couple of years ago when people were suggesting Saban should retire. Rings true today.

Exactly. There wasn’t a reality that this was ever going to go smoothly. I honestly think that’s why DeBoer got the ridiculous buyouts in his contract. That way he’s insulated for at least three or four years to fully transition away. If he was successful, amazing. If we get what we have now, it’ll makes the next steps a lot easier.

Proctor is destroying his future. He has the tools to be great but not the mentality and drive to do what is necessary to achieve it.

I agree. He also needs to run when there is green grass. He had a few chances and didn’t take off. He has wheels. Use them.

The throw into the grass when he could have ran for the 1st down. I think that was a 4th down play.

He’s not going to be the type that can roll out with eyes still down field and then run.

He’s not an accurate passer standing still but his accuracy really drops when he’s throwing on the run.
