Again, correlation is not causation. You're getting facts confused with campaign talking points. There are "democratic cities" all over the country not experiencing the violence seen in Portland and Kenosha.

Has the President condemned Rittenhouse's actions yet?

Why would the President condemn self-defense?

Regardless of the self defense argument(which it appears his lawyer isn't even arguing right now), he was illegally carrying a firearm as a minor.

Neenah man arrested at Green Bay protest has ties to Antifa

quote:

GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) - A Neenah man had a flamethrower, smoke grenades and fireworks during a demonstration in Green Bay Saturday night, according to police and prosecutors.

Matthew Banta, 23, is charged with obstructing an officer and two counts of felony bail jumping.

The criminal complaint says Banta “is known to be a violent Antifa member who incites violence in otherwise relatively peaceful protests.” Police say he’s known as “Commander Red.”

Green Bay police say they were called for “a whole bunch of white people with sticks, baseball bats and helmets headed... towards the police” on Walnut St. near Webster Ave.

“I don’t know who comes to a protest with a baseball bat for anything other than criminal or illegal activity,” said Green Bay Police Chief Andrew Smith.

A responding officer says he saw four individuals walking towards a protest with baseball bats. One man was wearing a metal helmet with goggles and military-style gear with multiple pouches, and was carrying an Antifa flag. When the officer pulled his squad car in front of the group, they ran away. The officer caught Banta, who was carrying the flag, and says Banta “dropped into the fetal position and began crying.” He accused the officer of lying on him; the officer replied nobody was on him.

Banta acknowledged he was headed to the Green Bay protest but denied he was planning to incite a riot.

A Brown County Court Commissioner set a $2,500 cash bond during his initial appearance on Monday.

Just like those that have been shot lately that refused to obey the police.

Um...

Kyle Rittenhouse attorney: Rifle was legally owned, actions “100 percent self-defense”

quote:

Pierce asserted that, despite charges and rumors to the contrary, the weapon did not cross state lines, was “a legal weapon,” and by law could be possessed by anyone aged 16 or over.

What?

Fair enough. I had only seen one clip of him where he said something about him being part of a militia, which is why I said it appeared.

That'll all be decided when he goes to trial, and there is still behavior from him that can be condemned. His presence with a gun certainly contributed to the volatile situation.

According to his lawyer (who is suuuuuuper shady if you spend all of 30 seconds looking into his background) he's basically no different than the Americans who went to fight the British at Lexington and Concord. A hero really. Imagine where we would be today if Kyle Rittenhouse had just stayed at home.

Would you agree with Rittenhouse if he were black and shot boogaloo agitator in the same manner?

I'm not really as concerned with your ad hominem attack as I am with the blatantly wrong treatment of the poor kid who had to defend himself from a mob, many of whom were adults and felons.

Indeed.

And they've been widely condemned by everyone, including Biden.

According to you, he just shot a white nationalist rioter. Not sure what the issue is

Yeah it's really a shame that they broke into his house and attacked him like that. Oh wait, that's not at all what happened. If you go out looking for a fight you don't get to claim self defense when you find one.

Thank goodness, our Savior, Joe Biden ascended from his basement to finally condemn all of those white nationalists rioters. That’s what turned me into a Democrat.

Same could be said about the rioters. Hell, one is on video asking to be shot. He got his wish.
