I was a senior in high school, watching the game in my buddy's parents' sun room. Grew up a Florida fan in the panhandle, mother's family were all Alabama folks, I didn't join them until I came to Bama for grad school. Anyway, I knocked a hole in Mr. Tucker's ceiling that night when Teague ran him down and grabbed that ball. U of Miami is disgusting, regardless of who you root for. I mean, they had Donna Shalala for a president.

An underdog having one game to put their entire energy and focus into is way different than having to turn around and do it again some ten days later. Highly unlikely Bama gets through one, much less both.
By season’s end, FSU was a better team than Miami, and they kicked the shite out of Florida the week before Alabama was lucky to beat them.
