We haven't played anyone, really. Nobody better than 8-4/7-5ish. The laughable part is when someone then goes from that to the fact that it somehow means we really aren't that good.

This is the point I've been emphasizing all along. Extrapolating that "Bama isn't very good" from "they've played nobody" is faulty logic. If the NE Patriots played Alabama's schedule does that mean they aren't that good? Of course not, but that's the logic many LSU fans seem to employ.

Bring up that point and they will tell Alabama hasn't been "tested" or least as tested as LSU. Nevermind the fact that everyone on that team aside from true freshman have been to the playoffs every year and have one or two rings to show for it.

I do think there is a little bit to that, though I think our program and our past experiences negate it quite a bit (like you mentioned).

But I do think you gain a certain level of toughness/coping ability when you become comfortable being uncomfortable, and that only comes from being in that fire and figuring it out.

Yea, it's nonsense. All it means is there is some question on how we will perform against a very good team. But to immediately go from "haven't had the chance to prove it" to "will do badly" is just as stupid as proclaiming "will score 60 points".

We don't know - all we can do is try and game it out based on things like all the boring advanced stats and performances vs other teams averages.

Doesn't seem like it bothers Damien Harris too much.

Reality is, the teams we've played to date haven't performed very well collectively.

If we were playing into the fourth quarter for separation, like say, UCF, there would be a need for concern.

But since most of our games have been over since the end of the first quarter (and some even quicker), there's not much else we can do about national perception of reality.
