You can keep saying it. It isn't the case. If that was the case then why the frick do we have multiple transfers and freshmen on defense?
BAMA couldn't even recruit a fricking center.
frick all that nonsense.

Still wrong. 1984 was the last time they outright beat us on the field. Sure, it's a long time ago, but they were in the East so the timeframe is a bit misleading.

We've played them 23 times since 1984, but last night was only the 6th meeting since 2002.

I think we are much improved at Center. Just the fact that we're not snapping it above Milroe's head makes that obvious enough for me.

It's amazing for people like you to make excuses for every other coach that's ever fricking coached too.

Agreed.
But he came with DeBoer.

Oh I misunderstood. Yeah DeBoer improved quite a few spots on our roster. And really had to re-recruit the entire team.

People acting like he inherited a deep roster need to go back and listen to the reason Saban retired. Even he wasn't sure he'd be able to keep any of the team.

I'm not wrong though.

You keep saying that BAMA has the most talented roster in college football. It isn't true. It just isn't.

BAMA has transfers and freshmen all over the field on D. And not one 1st or 2nd round draft pick in the 2025 draft.

Downs transferred. Hard to replace him. But Moore is a 5th year senior. Dude played like a fricking true freshman yesterday. And showed his arse at the end of the game.

Just because they don’t play sound doesn’t mean they aren’t talented

I'm not saying they aren't talented. I'm saying that a talented freshman can't be held to the same standard as a veteran- which BAMA is lacking on D. Talent has to be given time to grow and bloom.

I believe next year's defense will be demonstrably better than this year's if they can keep them together.

Losing to a triple option team that played a flawless game aided by penalties and turnovers by the offense/special teams isn't the end of the fricking program. To suggest otherwise is just plain stupid.

Nobody can say that it was a good coaching job. Ive said this in other threads. It's embarrassing that the same thing that worked on Vandy's 1st drive worked on their last drive. The coaches didn't adjust.

However, it at least needs to be discussed that the number of freshmen, transfers, and the fact that a new scheme makes everybody that isn't a transfer or freshmen new to the system. Talented as though they may be. There's growing pains with new coaching. Welcome to reality.

DeBoer and Wommack aren't the first coaches to struggle in the SEC. Shocking.

Now... year 3... this loss is a fireable offense. But it ain't year 3.

Sark also went 5-7 in first year at Texas, 8-5 next season. I used to lurk on Shaggybevo or whatever that board was and half their fanbase was ready to run him out.

Your comparison isn’t even relevant. Imagine taking over the most talented roster in college football and shitting on the field on national television. Imagine not being able to adjust at halftime. Get this shite outta here

His Georgia comparison is relevant and it illustrates a reasonable point, and that point is this. Losing to Vanderbilt is a fricking tragedy, but it doesn't have to be a death sentence. Fundamentally, that's his point and I agree with him.

People have short memories. And every loss is the worst.

I am going to keep believing DeBoer is the guy. I'm not even ready to throw Wommack out.
Coaching turnover WRECKS programs faster than NCAA sanctions.

See Auburn and Florida.

I too, think Deboer will be fine. He is a good coach....top 3-5 in CFB. No matter what he inherited, there is still gonna be growing pains.

I would prefer to sunshine Wommack this offseason and hire a more proven 4-2-5 guy who isn’t learning on the job

Hell, throw a bag at Durkin. He’ll set a tone and has years of running a 4-2-5 well
