Smith down the stretch was the one getting double teamed.

Didn't Davis play pretty decent tonight? Had a lot of tackles I think.

Well this is certainly a Bammer thread. frick y’all. These guys gave 3-5 years to the UofA and won 1 SEC and 1 NC.
I don’t think the players let anyone down. The shite happens. It’s the first time since 2010 that Alabama has lost more than 1 regular season game and you clowns are attacking the players.
I have enjoyed the hell out of this run but anyone with a brain knew a season like 2 losses would come.
I’m not happy because we lost to the only 2 good teams we played, key players along with our superstar QB got hurt, the penalties, and the defense was awful. The injuries really ruined any joy for this season but we have been on a historic run, so historic of a run that a 2 loss season seems like a catastrophe

I dont think it's the losses people are pissed at. It's the way we lost. Bama shouldn't have lost to au.

No, it’s not the losses, the OP is pissed at the players. Which is Bammer as frick when you consider most of these same players have won a NC and an SECC.

Stupid thread by someone who probably doesn't understand what he's watching.
Anfernee has been tremendous. McKinney, Carter, Lewis and Davis have been playmakers.
It isn't their fault Saban hired a horrible DC. It isn't their fault they have no help at ILB.
Man some of you suck. You're mad but you don't even know why you should be so you attack good servants of the University.
If you want to attack a player Diggs I get. However all of the anger should be on Golding for our defense and primarily Saban for hiring the clown.

I’m not tired of them or glad to see them go. I think for the most part they played their hardest. These guys just aren’t elite and don’t seem to come up with a huge play when you need it against a good opponent. It is what it is. There was no 1st round talent on this defense on top of the injuries and inexperience. Hope they all carve out a niche in the league somewhere.

Jennings has had injury issues, but he's a good player. Don't think he ever got back to 100% after that knee injury.
Lewis, injury issues.
Davis got worse after his Soph year, some injury issues.
I won't miss the others. No reason for those upperclassmen DB's to blow so many assignments and not be able to tackle either.

I wouldn’t say that about Jennings and Lewis. Jennings is one guy who seems to give his all, and Lewis has spent the large majority of his career injured.

Wtf do people expect out of the program, anyway? Alabama's been riding this wave for over 10 years. Don't y'all realize you're gonna have a few years along the way where things just don't work out?
Everyone needs to quit slamming the players, and even the coaches and let Saban do what he does best!
Sometimes I think that Alabama deserves a better fan base, to be honest.

@coach crisp
Good post. Most of these players that are being bashed would start at any school not named OSU, Clemson, or LSU.
Team chemistry has just seemed off this year. IMO, Dylan Moses going down changed that. He was our defensive QB.
Saban's got a few more good years in him and if we can avoid the injuries we've had this year, Bama will be back in the hunt next year.
I think this season can be looked upon as a pressure relief valve to set up the next couple of years.

Terrell Lewis sacked Jake Fromm in the NCG, forcing a FG and leading to one of the greatest walk off plays in college football history. He’s a Bama legend just for that.

Jeudy is double teamed most of the time. Jeudy being doubled is a factor in Devante Smith putting up big numbers.
A couple of deep balls that are 4...5 yds shorter (or even underthrown so he can adjust) and thia conversation isnt happening. Jeudy still took shots across the middle. We collectively held our breath when he fought for extra yds against UT and took that shot to the head and laid there after.
Im not going to say anything about freshman. I remember thinking how lost Mark Barron looked against Utah
Several players do need to return
Their perception (Kiper et al) seems to be based on ...they have incredible athletic ability and play for Bama; so, they will get some 1st round talk regardless.

It’s a good thing this year’s schedule was as soft as it was. If we had played a tougher slate, we’d have more losses. Teams don’t fear us anymore because we aren’t head and shoulders better than them talent wise and they know they can damn sure outcoach and outscheme us on at least one side of the ball. If we had played Florida or UGA that’s probably 2 more losses, not because they are better than Bama but they are good enough to take advantage of all the self inflicted mistakes we make over and over and over. Golding needs to go NOW so we can start with a new DC and new attitude during bowl prep.

Jared Mayden, Raekwon Davis and others.
They suck, theyre soft , and I’m glad they are gone. None of them would start from 08-16. And they are all mental pussies, who have CONSTANTLY made the same mental mistakes going on 3 seasons now.
Actually, going on 2 years now. I recall some of these guys getting meaningful minutes in 2017 when we had the #1 defense in the nation. Remember?
Posted on 12/2/19 at 8:42 am to mistaken4193
You just named 5 guys expected to get drafted with Diggs and Lewis expected to be 1st rd picks with Davis maybe as well
So yes they never seem to meet their potential
