@marctorrence: Eddie Jackson looked like he replaced Bradley Sylve in a first-team Nickel drill today. Geno Smith at Star DePriest back at MLB.

I think getting these two back should help solve quite a few of the issues we had. Great to hear.

Eddie at CB and Geno at Star with Trey making the calls in the middle will make this D look a lot better.

Where is that dog shaking out of the box gif? Because that is how I felt upon reading that.

Glad to hear that. Now if our corners would only line up on the LOS going forward I'd be a happy guy.

I'm not convinced Jackson is a savior and I'm not setting my expectations too high. I do think he is a talent upgrade over Sylve. He might struggle some this season but if he stays healthy he has the talent to be a true #1 corner and an all-sec level player. But the same is true of Tony Brown and probably Marlon too.

IMO Brown is gonna be one of Bama's best EVER at the DB position. JMO and he could even prove me wrong but I doubt it.

Great news. Only problem is that we won't know if the defense improved until the Florida game.

Eddie Jackson should be an upgrade over Slyve. Keyword SHOULD. Slyve reminded me a lot of John Fulton with his play on Saturday. It was frustrating to watch. Turn your head, turn your head, play the ball, tackle . He should be in the rotation, but as I said Eddie should be an upgrade.

Just a guess but me thinks that Florida offense won't be as good as West Virginia and Alabama will do better against power ball muschamp runs. Or at least I hope so. I like our chances against UF's traditional offense under muschamp over the HUNH. Only thing that could catch most fans off guard would be that they hired duke's OC. I don't think we will be in nickel and dime half as much as we would against WVU, aTm, and Ole Miss.

That's true. One thing about UF is that they have some outstanding backs this year. Also Driskel in a traditional offense was horrible. Put him in a spread where he can run the read option and he becomes an issue. Still though Muschamp I think will still like to run some power and against WVU we only gave up 24 net.
