Texas Governor Greg Abbott has issued a revised order: not only will professional sports leagues be allowed to resume play in June, but outdoor stadiums will be allowed to host fans up to 25% of their capacity.

That's in June. We're not looking at major play until July, August with Baseball/NFL.

I think it can only go one of two ways. More capacity as infections rise and the rate decreases, or less capacity overall due to rising burden on healthcare systems. At-Risk individuals being limited in attendance.

Personally I think it's the former, since we're seeing high asymptomatic and low death rates for those <65.

Seems logical, I agree with your assessment.

Hopefully allowed capacity will improve with time, but even with this news today I’m excited at the prospect of actually playing football at this point.

I wouldn't be surprised if they are allowed to play at full capacity by the time game day arrives.

Absolutely. These half-measures aren't going to last long.

If the game were being played in MI I’d be worried.

TX isn’t gonna mess with a big money football game at Jerry’s World.

I made the point in another thread: none of these venues have enough security to keep 20,000 fans 6 feet apart. 10 people in the 400 level endzone seats will move to lower 40 yard line seats. Then 100. Then 500. There won't be enough security to keep thousands of people from moving to better seats.
