Grubb is a great play caller.

Grubb didn't cause DeBo ot completely change his demeanor on the side lines and start chewing arse that needed to be chewed.

Who was in during the 4th quarter may be the best combination. Game was on the line. Carroll and Fomby were on the right side.

I can't remember Saban or anyone rotating OLinemen by design like that, especially in a big game on the road no less.

felt like UGA didn't respect Ty and his ability to throw the ball

If they watched film of Ty from the last two weeks and still thought that, then that's wild.

It was tough sledding against that UGA front seven. We weren’t going to get much there…. But glad to see them disciplined in calling the run as it was opening up the pass

Until the last drive, the tailback runs were on the bare minimum edge of effectiveness. In the last drive, we started getting some 5-6 yarders. However, bare arse minimum effectiveness is just enough to make the defense consider the possibility that you will just hand it off on 1st and 2nd down. Since UGA wanted to play split safety, they had to be able to stop the run with light fronts. Staying committed to the run denied them the opportunity to get a bit aggressive with their front alignment...they had to align their fronts to take away as many gaps as possible instead of playing the pass.

Pangs me to say this but I was satisfied with our 1st down runs in the first half. 3 and half to 4 and a half was successful in this offense.
It’s difficult for me to even entertain this.

Grubb called a great game except for that colossal frick up on 4th and 1 in the 3rd quarter.

What the hell was that?

I thought he did well, but there were a few head scratchers and we have to get the plays in sooner. The philosophy to keep running even when it’s not working is an NFL thing. I understand it but when the QB is hot and is getting protection…sling it.

There were at least 2 series in the second half where we were trying to run more and had to punt, when they couldn't stop our pass game.

Looked to me like UGA adjusted at half time and would show pressure and then drop back and was trying to bait some throws. I still think you have to run the ball there for a lot of reasons. Chew clock and shorten the game, rest a defense for as long as possible and simply make UGA at least think about it. Think Bama's biggest issue running the ball is we simply don't have a tailback that can punish a team for sitting on the pass. I thought the game plan offensively was about as good a game as could be called.

Watched the video below and on the game sealing play we had Cuevas wide open for a sure-fire TD. Hope we keep that in our back pocket for the future.

Had to be some kind of miscommunication at some level. It was dogshit. And we are lucky it didn’t come back to harm us

I guarantee you we would have been calling for Grubb's head if he was the OC last season...

If you go back and watch Tys 1st td pass, rb was also open for td and Tys running Td someone was open for a passing td.

This discredits Grubb.

Grubb is amazing. Sheridan is just above average. If Grubb had joined Saban we would have won a championship with Milroe Saban's last season.

He is that good and he has done a fantastic job getting Ty Simpson to understand what he needs to do before the snap and after.

Agree. Would like to see us try to run the clock and use a ball control O to keep our D off the field. Definitely hope we don't go fast.
